Looks like Sentinel Watch can only reduce the cooldown by a maximum of 15 seconds total. Once it has reduced the cooldown by 15 seconds, it will no longer reduce the cooldown until you've used Coordinated Assault again. I think that's what it's trying to say in the tooltip, and that's definitely how it's behaving in your vid. So basically, that node just reduces the cd of Coordinated Assault by 15 seconds haha
@@spasmaticrerol6590 While it does state it in the talent, I can see the confusion as the talent itself says "When *A* Sentinel deals damage" which could be interpreted as CD Reduction per Sentinel applied (More Sentinels = More CD Reduction). If it said "When Sentinel deals damage, CD Reduced by 1s up to 15s" then the way it functions would be just a bit clearer.
For Sentinel to work the way he wants we would need to either have a reduced proc rate of Sentinel, or have the CD reduction cut down to like 0.5sec or 0.25sec when Sentinel deals DMG. The way it works now if every Sentinel gave you 1sec CD you would have Assault up in less than 1min. In his video it took him 10sec to reduce the CD by 15sec, so you would have Assault up in like 45 sec, with more targets, better rotation, better gear you would probably get 30sec CD on Assault.
They should make the dark ranger hero talents available for survival. Many of the dark ranger NPC’s sports some kinds of melee weapons. It really seems like blizzard doesn’t give a rats ass about survival. It’s such a shame since it’s one of the most enjoyable specs for me :’(
I hate that both revolve around Coordinated Assault. CA is one of the worst feeling cooldowns for Survival... Pack leader should turn Kill Command into an aoe and revolve around Spearhead and Fury of the Eagle, resetting their cd by 1sec for every ability used by your pet or something.
Let it sink in that with all the creative talent at blizzard the best they could come up with regarding Sentinel is- you get a dot and occasionally you summon an owl... and that's it.
i was really let down by the hunter talents tbh, hoped dark ranger wouldve been the mm surv option, and hoped sentinel wouldve been the hard hitting option but seems like for pvp were gonna have to use pack leader

The badass bomb slinging, spear carving survival hunter gets a cute lunar owl turning up - surely an owl is more fitting to the BM spec. Also Dark Ranger doesn’t fit with BM, it would go better with Survival. I have a feeling that someone at Blizz forced a change to which spec gets which hero talent after they were designed. Something along the lines of BM is most popular spec then it must have the likely most popular fantasy of Dark Ranger and screw the fact it messes up the fantasy for both BM and Survival.
Pack leader does look a little underwhelming, I was hoping to summon some beasts temporarily along with those beasts benefiting you and your pets with buffs like a pack would, sentinel is too elf centric but it does look appealing from another perspective. On my survival main, I’m going to roll pack leader since it’s not too race specific

Survival has been in dire need of an overhaul for multiple expansions ... really the initial iteration back when it was changed to a melee spec was done poorly and never fixed. It's a large company, saying they have no class developer is a sad excuse, especially when the issues the spec have are not new. As a Marksman and Beast main, for the brief moment once an expansion I try out survival, I'm immediately confused why the image in the talent tree is of Rexar when the SPEC has zero resemblance of Rexar. Survival fantasy is easily the poorest of all classes and the Sentiel hero talents reflects that. Marksman unfortunetely has to share a hero spec with survial and suffers for it. Survival has some of the lowest representations across all aspecs you can measure, every expansion since it's original rework. They shit the bed and decide to lay in it rather than change the sheets.
Sentinel just seems like it was a way to bring back the Night Fae Covenant ability and make it even more boring. Looks like my alt hunter will just have to drop the spear and pick up a gun for dark ranger.... and I really hate that windrunner fantasy.

I've played the entirety of dragonflight without using coordinated assault as I hate the feeling of it. If I am forced into CA like this, I'll have to shelve SV. Adding insult to injury, Blizzard removes ranged SV years ago, and removed Black Arrow in the process. Many, MANY hunters were upset about the melee conversion, and many still are. An easy way to appease that population would be to allow SV hunters access to black arrow again. Yet, in Blizzard's infinite wisdom, they not only removed Black Arrow from SV, they also prevent this new iteration of it from being used by SV hunters... wtf? So annoying.....
If any spec needs a real rework it's survival but some of these hero talents are improvements into right direction like extra healing which SURVIVAL is ironically lacking badly and I actually like pet being more engaged because right now you don't even use pet talent's on tree
there's literally no way for survival to play pack leader without alpha predator, but no way to get alpha predator and be competitive. it's so cursed man. i really hope the hunter rework slaps as hard as the monk retooling. your class deserves it.

I really hate kill command spam on survival. You do so much less damage than either other spec, you can't dual wield and use most of your abilities, and you are essentially a worse version of beast master
This is Alpha and will remain alpha until the next expansion and the next expansion for Hunter will remain unchanged. Like the entire DF expansion. Hunter was ignored and only nerfed, not to mention Survi. The whole Hunter thing is to fuck off. as well as the appearance of sets for years. They do it just to fuck off. It would mean in any aoe situation you would essentially use coordinated assault every 10 seconds or so from an initial 60s cd .... Like come on that would never be balanced in any world.

Kinda wish my made surv hunter rotate around a trap system and bombs kinda like d4 rogue honetly surv just need a full scale rework and redesign. The way i think of a survial hunter thematicly is some who has mastered the wild and uses there knowledge and skills to out manouver enemy in nonconventional ways
Unbelievably lame talent trees, and who wants either of these as a theme for survival hunter? Balance druid spell effects because reasons or something clearly made for BM hunter, nice spec fantasy.. Should be something like Artillerist for SV/MM spec focused on traps and explosives, and Pathfinder for SV/BM focusing on pets and mongoose bite/FotE stuff with either a REMADE or deleted coordinated assault
Yep, they had a huge opportunity for a trapper playstyle with "Sentinel"... Could have renamed that "Trapper" and had "Trap Mastery" as the first node... Give all traps additional effects. Finally give us a reason to pick Steel Trap... Make High-explosive trap have additional utility... Marksman Hunter could have had extra utility from Binding or Bursting Shot. Volley could drop Tar Traps... There are so many possibilities there to explore.

or blizzard should just go back to range surv and make bm a damn melee because at this point they dont know what they are doing for hunter anymore
