    I’ve had this pedal for a while. The housing is less than stellar, but the amount of noise you can get out of it is amazing. There is a US hardcore/noise band from the late 90s/2000s called Coalesce. They covered Black Dog in drop C and this pedal nails that tone.,

    Found this video and had the same reaction that you did. What a great fuzz! Well worth the money-got one 'new in box' and couldn't be happier with the sheer slab of fuzz this produces, plus some of the most disgusting sounding sounds that bring a knowing smile....
    Thanks, sir. These are the best kind of videos-made me buy a Dark Terror when I was looking at low wattage lunch box amps. Guy plugged in it, went "Woah! What the hell?" and produced some of the most spontaneous killer tones I've heard. Same here. I already have a project in mind.......

    This thing sounds great, but seems like a good candidate for rehousing in a metal enclosure with an LED moreso than playing stock. The button switch and the lack of an on-or-off indicator both seem not great.

    I'm starting to get the allure of a good fuzz, despite not generally being a fan of the music most often played using it. I finally got a cheap one and like using it in a primitive blues/ambient kinda way. With the right reverb that can sound pretty scary, in a good way mostly.
    Anyway, I would have liked to hear more of the octave stuff. A few times you got it, then proceeded to hammer away on the lower strings yet again. I wanna hear it do the Hendrix stuff, and it sounds like that could be dialed in. Your videos are always entertaining, even when I disagree or don't care. Thanks for doing 'em!

    I had a couple of those pedals back in the early '00s. My favorite was the BLT slap echo. With my 80s Kingston Strat copy, through BLT, Morley Wah, and Big Muff Pi, into my Dean Markley K35, it made some incredible tones! LoL

  • @rebeccabailey527
    @rebeccabailey527 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I had one, not the best build quality, but it was a good pedal. I also had the phaser, can't remember what it was called, but it was cool too.
    I did think it was silly how in America these weren't sold in guitar stores, they were sold in cd stores like Sam goody. Prior to the Dano pedals, Sam goody stocked rocktek pedals. Those were really crappy, but used just right, they could be cool sounding.

  • @jimcarter6669

    Those pedals sound good, but made cheap. My footswitched got stuck in permanent on, and it's hardwired in to the board. No fixing it. It was an equalizer called fish and chips. 25 dollars, but now I can only use it if I want the effect on the whole time. But still a decent pedal. I used it for getting a death metal tone and to help out my trebley sounding Taylor acoustic. I would say good but not at all tough enough for a pro traveling gigger.

    I was never a fan of the foxx tone machine...I’m not sure of the mods to the circuit they did for the French toast. People sleep on behringer and dan-e’s but they are pretty good clones for cheap. Too many people have gear snobbery. Too focused on the name on the pedal and not the toanz! That’s why I started building pedals. Because you can build your own to better specs than any company building in bulk. Learn to sling lead and build the pedals of your dreams!

    Lead singer Stinker from Philly old school punk Pure Hell had one and caused chaotic sounds as he wasn't really a guitar lead player exactly, but I, as lead guitar for punk band The Blessed Muthas heard this noise and thought YEAH, I NEED THAT. I barely could sneak it in during our sets but, for maybe a 15 second wake the f up crowd ear candy thing. They're like $45 now, price having risen like everything. Thinking of using it for a And Your Bird Can Sing kind of havoc wreaker. God save us.
