7th grade I believe by our PE teacher too, in the end of the quarters all the boys would require to fight and it will graded on how many hits and blocks you’ve done
Nope cause if ur attacker is strong in there stick or weapon then u will lose ur grip easily always grip it firm so that it won’t drop even when u twirl it
There are a lot of different footworks that can accompany Heaven 6 (male triangle, female triangle, lateral, advancing, retreating, etc.) and while it's important to learn them, it's a lot easier to learn them after you've gotten the hang of where the sticks go.
ok so ive never learned sticks before, but i have a natural interest and love for all things combatives. this video just popped up in a list of suggested videos, and instantly i had to learn this. its a little confusing to come in brand new and learn a 2 sticks sequence. so i had to break it down one hand at a time. each hand performs 3 strikes, recovering to a new ready position each time. the third strike recovers to the original ready position. repeat the progression with the one hand over and over again until you’re naturally recovering to the proper next ready position. now repeat that learning process with the other hand. now that both hands are familiar with the progression, still working with one stick and one empty hand: practice the progression with the stick hand, moving the empty hand out of the way of the stick hand, recovering in sequence to the proper next ready position. now continue the sequence adding a strike with the empty hand as you move it out the way of the stick hand’s progression, still focusing on recovering to the next proper ready position. now add a stick to the empty hand. i like this sequence. i will enjoy practicing and becoming more fluid with it. im subscribing in hopes of finding heaven and earth, and earth 6…and hopefully more.
@@zx9rmadman400there is also standard it is like heaven but when you get to the second strike you point your stick down, so it would be like up down up chamber up down up chamber. And if got heaven earth and standard good you can try 3x3x3 it is like every thing together and so heaven 3 hits then standard 3 hits and finally earth 3 hit then if have that you can do back hand back hand back hand which is where you chamber like normal but for the first hit you would “swing” it over your head and backhand then you hit with the other hand which is a backhand too but this one would follow through and the with the first hand you would do a back hand also then chamber on the other side and do it again, hope you can more practice in.
in our school it was taught to us when we were 14.

@@LastStar007 , interesting what we learned under Serrada back in the days is that stocks and footwork was equally important 😉

@@LastStar007, look at what you wrote..."it's a lot easier to learn them after you've ...."....better to learn at the same time like a boxer👍

28 inches is standard.
@@sindjinn thanks
Maybe it's me. But I don't believe he teaches this effectively. It should be a lot slower.
Thanks for the input.
