    I have this rifle and the polymer mags don't do very well unless fully loaded to where it squeeze's out the top of the mag but the steel mag does great no problems at all and it's a very accurate rifle for a budget rifle I have around 6,000 rounds through it and no problems at all

      use polyer mags all the time you don't have too fully load them

    I bought mine and needed around 200+ rounds to break in… after that it was working fine.

    just put one on layaway at my local gun store. this is my first rifle of any type. buddy of mine has an AR so naturally I took him along so I didn't get ripped off. his has a lot more bells and whistles, but he seemed confident ill be pleased with the purchase. ill post in a few weeks when I get mine out of layaway and throw some lead down range for my own personal opinion.

      minus the initial "don't know my ass from a hole in the ground" issues I had loading and firing my AR, it did wonderful. mine did not come with sights, so I purchased the cheapest sights the gun store had. put about 250 rounds thru it, had one "jam". but that was actually my own fault it jammed, not the AR's. its light and seemed to do pretty well under the circumstances. now compared to my buddies AR which is a bushmaster and really built up for world war 3, it wasn't much to write home about, but for just going to the range and shooting just for fun, it did ok. I don't think i'd bet my life on this AR, but its good enough for what I wanted it for.

      don cameron Thanks for the input. Is the accuracy worth a flip? Or is this firearm just good for spray and pray?

    • @doncameron7869
      @doncameron7869 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      it didn't do too bad once I finally figured out where it was shooting. the iron sights i bought are almost worthless in my opinion, but they did give me an idea of where it was going. im sure with better optics, this AR would be pretty good. i just didn't have an extra 200 for a decent scope.

    Is it a bad idea to have the magazine filled with bullets while it is stored? I just like to have it ready at home but I am worried that the spring inside might become affected. Any thoughts?

    • @kidvenom1976
      @kidvenom1976 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Get more than 1 mag. Switch them out. I stretch my springs at least once a week and it's fine. I do it with all of my guns. I don't own this 1 yet until the 28th this month 😢

    I just took my 300 blackout to the range for the first time and the first 3-4 rounds cycled good after that it was failure to eject I had to manually charge every round and in most cases the bolt was stuck. I was hoping it was just the ammunition I was shooting UMC Remington 300 blackout 120 GR. Very disappointed.

    • @bproudd
      @bproudd 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Better Tactical I had the same issue, for the first 200 rounds you're going to want to grease the bolt and charging handle pretty good then once the first 200 rounds are fired do a detailed clean and disassembly. should work good after that.

  • @gunzzandfunzz
    @gunzzandfunzz ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a Omni 556 ar pistol, every time I go to chamber a round and check to see if the round cycled/got picked up my bolt gets stuck and won’t go back and I have to mortar my ar pistol , can’t see find out what’s the issue. If anybody has any information please let me know thank you

    I got mine from Grabagun for $480 including shipping. I expected to install my own optics and front grip. My manual is helpless in giving directions and "How to do". There is little options at ATI's web site for information on the front grip and where & what to attach the sling to. The front rail NO picatinny but the gas block has at the top. I was hoping to attach a front grip but it looks as though I'll need to modify unless someone has an alternative suggestion.

      if you purchased a rifle with the standard m4 style hand guard, then you will need to replace it with a railed hand guard, or convert to a free float hand guard.

      I purchased an attachment from a seller in Arkansas. Magpul MAG409-BLK MAG409 Polymer Rail Section 11 Slots L5 for a adaptor to the front handguard. I removed the front handguard manually, uuuggg. I contacted American Tactical about manual for this procedure. Still waiting. As of yesterday I disassembled the gas block and begrudgingly removed the handguard. I searched the internet and found that it would be easier to remove the handguard with the AR15 Delta Ring Removal tool. Live and Live and learn. All back together now. Lining up for the reinstall of the gas block and tube was educational. I should have marked the holes in advance.
      The Magpul MAG409-BLK MAG409 Polymer Rail Section 11 Slots L5 wasn’t the best fitting but it is mounted now. Waiting for new 5 position front grip and sling attachment to arrive.
      Mounted a scope and had terrible accuracy at the range at 100 & 200 yards. Ordered a scope bore sight for the next time at the range.
      Another live nd learn lesson: DO NOT leave your batteries in the scope. REMOVE them before you leave the range or before putting the rifle / gun back into the case. So, the batteries were the cheapest lesson.

    I took my ATI 300 blackout to the range fresh out of the box . After 75 rounds it was all down hill from there. multiple failure to fire and failure to eject the cartridge. And the finally the gas block just feel off the barrel out from under the handguard. I wouldn't recommend this gun to anyone. The 300 blackout that is .

    Update........Rifle lasted 2 mags before the FTFs started. Mags would not seat and fell out. Basically an unsafe gun. Gallery of Guns took it back and exchanged it with a Windham Carbon AR15. Great gun. I strongly would encourage anyone to avoid the ATI Omni AR15.

      Dana H I had the same issue with mine, only I was unable to return or trade the rifle once fired. I took some measurements and found that the magazine well was actually 0.03mm too big as well as the milled groove for the magazine catch. good new was I was able to buy a different magazine catch and fixed the problem. the magazine still shakes in the magazine well but doesn't fall out anymore.

  • @stevec2196
    @stevec2196 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I got one just like that and it looks nice but is very poorly made. I've been working on it all year but haven't been able to get it to fire a single round so far! The barrel's feed ramps were improperly cut, they weren't even cut in the upper to match the barrel and the barrel and upper were improperly assembled. The bolt didn't work, the charging handle was binding at the back and the mag well is too large to seat the mags properly.
    The upper and barrel were replace with ones that fit properly and the bolt repaired but I haven't been able to find mags that will work without falling out, jamming or misfeeding.

      jblcva Have you had any issues with the magazines wobbling around in the magazine well? I have heard of this issue from a few sources. I'm going to pick up my Omni Hybrid Lower this weekend. However, I'm not really sure I want to have this as the backbone of my rifle if there is a tolerance issue. Thanks!

    This rifle is a POS! This is the short version... Took it out to the range with brand new ammo and it would not feed properly. Yes the magazines are good as I used them in my friends AR without fail. Emailed them twice with no response. Then called customer service. I shipped the rifle back to them for inspection to which they changed out the gas block. According to the armorer it passed safety checks, they sent it back to me. Took it to the range today damn thing still will not feed properly. Crap rifle. I previously owned a Colt and never had a single issue with the rifle feeding properly. I have the Omni Hybrid Multi Cal5.56

    "Solid, well built gun" Bullshit..... I've had mine sent back to the factory once. Replaced once. Had 3 parts shipped to me to "Fix" issues. And still to this day, this piece of SHIT rifle will not feed.... I don't mean it has FTF's, I mean this ball busting sack of shit of a "Rifle" won't feed even ONE round from the mag after firing one from the chamber. No, I take that back... It actually IS a FTF rifle. They should change the logo from the ATI logo to a FTF logo. Avoid this like the plague.
