Great ideas! That airmail tape if you cut in half and put on the sides of a white envelope you get an airmail envelope. Then distress it make it look old and it is amazing in a journal.
I LOVE going to the Tree with you! I think that postal-looking tape was my fave of your finds - I've never seen that before either. I TOTALL agree that you have to look all the way through things - it seems the one I want is almost ALWAYS at the back of the peg. True story... I was flipping thru - I don't even remember what it was now, but it was on one of those long pegs... I had the entire pile of stuff off the peg and on the shelf below it... I heard quiet talking the next aisle over, then I heard what I knew to be the manager's voice say, "Oh, she's OK, she always puts everything back the way it was." 🤣🤣 Apparently, I'd been observed disassembling then reassembling things before! I've made a bunch of envelope journals like yours, and they are so much fun. I used napkins on some of mine, which works really well. Thank you for sharing your ideas. I especially like the one with the manuscript tablet paper -- will be looking for that and also for the washi tape. TFS!!

It’s is brand new, but, to be completely honest, they opened about a month ago and it used to be spotless. It’s already turning into a mess and the poor employees are trying their hardest to keep it clean. There was glitter spilled everywhere and things at a place…which is so sad!
I am an absolute beginner in paper crafting. I am so thankful for your channel. You show how to make amazing items, but you show how to get supplies without breaking the bank. I was super thankful for the demonstration of scoring without a scoreboard!! Thank you!
First off welcome to the world of paper crafting! If I can provide even a little ounce of inspiration, my heart is filled! I remember what it was like beginning and not having all the “supplies”. The truth is that the supplies are fun and all but it’s the creating that is really import! Making something with your hands that you can look back on and cherish is the main objective 💕
Another good thing to get is a Large print “Word Search “ book in the coloring books & game books. You can cut out words for your pages, tags, whatever. I didn’t have to buy the words in a little pack for a few dollars. It works good! 👍
It’s a game-changer when you use it for printing! You can make papers look like old documents! (I have a video coming soon) Thanks for your sweet words! 💕🫶🏼

Junk journals are a great place to start. Things don't have to be perfect like in other paper crafts 😁 It allows people like me to create and not feel bad because it's not " perfect".

Thanks Shannon you are so sweet! 💕💕💕To be 100% transparent this is a brand new store and the first time I went in I was amazed how beautiful everything was (I have another video showing it) when I went in yesterday, it was a mess. There were boxes and spilled glitter everywhere. People leaving things where they shouldn’t be, etc. It is so sad! So when I film, I sometimes straighten up just a little so it looks prettier. The poor employees are fighting a never ending battle. 💕🫶🏼

My favorite was the tape that looks like the old envelopes. I am new so I didn't have the slightest idea which container you had picked till you showed it. I really liked the one with the blue flowers. And that is a great idea. I liked that they had different designs to choose from. Will definitely need to check the ones around here so I can have one design to hold my paint brushes, a different design to hold my embossing tools, and one to hold my piercing tools and needles for making journals. My dollar tree stores are NEVER stocked as well as the one you went to….and I have 2 in my area. I have managed to do a dollar tree journal a year or so ago.
I love that you made a whole journal! 🥰 DT needs to get with it and start stocking more crafting supplies…so many people are asking for them! But don’t ever give up hope because the resin that I’ve been looking for for over a year finally hit my store! 💕🫶🏼
I am very blessed to have it nearby! Although in the same of complete transparency, it is a brand new store, and I try to show mostly the positive. Unfortunately there were messes and boxes everywhere as well! 💕
Oh how I do wish we had a dollar tree store here in England, all we have is Poundland which, the last time I checked out, just has a load of cheap rubbish sadly 😞
I know books are necessary to journaling but seeing you flip through new books made me shudder. Why not check Goodwill or a Salvation Army store for a used one?
