    In Poland we say /naikee/ when we mean Nike shoes and /naik/ about Nike as a company😅

      It is pronounced that way though… go ahead and look up where Nike was founded and by who. Brand names are unaffected by the grammar of the language theyre in!

    The lack of official confirmation is mind boggling we know most of the other brand and it pronounce as it is written, but NIKE just being big troll I have been in argument with so many people when I refer to the name as naikee some people go no its wrong when i refer to it as nyk other people say no it is incorrect. even different shopkeeper pronounce it differently it infuriating uugh!

      Nike and bike are not words which share the same origin. Both the English and Americans say phone the same, and they agree that Persephone is pronounced per-seff-fo-nee rather than per-suh-phone. You know that Antigone and gone are pronounced differently.
      So why do the British and Americans pronounce the Greek goddess Nike differently? Well, they don't. Pronouncing Nike as the Americans do is a British rule. But you don't know who Nike, the brand's namesake is, so you're trying to sound it out phonetically based upon words' that look similar. You're proclaiming knowledge based upon your pride and ignorance, which feed into one another.
