I get easily confused, when you said that this battery need to be fused, how big a fuse and where would you put it? I only have a 200 watt panel and a Renogy Rover 40 and the original Siekon 12.8V 100 ah Battery.
"These videos are pretty fun to watch!" Why do you think we watch them? The information is great, you're easy on the eyes and you have a great personality, your diction is perfection and you have tons of common sense to go along with your acquired knowledge. I'm so glad I bought the previous version of the Siekon 12.8V 100ah battery. I just mounted my 200 Watt BougeRV bifacial solar panel yesterday on my mini slide in Truck Camper and attached it to my Renogy Rover charge controller that was already connected to my LiFePO4 battery and I'm satisfied with it's performance.
Thank you for the video Will. It is always a good time hearing good information presented clearly and watching your unbridled joy while testing and discussing so many topics. Never Change!
Got the 100ah and 200ah from germany, the service is awesome! We did have a mishap but it was arranged great, I had allot of advantage in the solution 👍
I am waiting for a Lion battery that will drop into my 4 each golf-cart-sized battery holder in my RV that I can install without huge upgrades in power controllers, chargers, inverters, etc. a charging draw limited to lead-acid type alternator power demand that won't burn up the alternator on the engine or the generator. I don't need instant charging. Something that just works in existing RVs that doesn't require $10s of thousands to upgrade the RV electric. Millions of RVs out there.
The Power Queen/Redodo/Li Time mini's that use pouch cells truly are significantly smaller. If you have any of those around they might be cool to throw on your resistor bank because they have a big surge capacity as well.
Thanks for all your reviews and information. I've learned a lot from following you, and used a great deal of your information while building then power system for my off grid cabin. There was one thing you mentioned in this video about why the mini designation for batteries. I would like to provide some info as to why they make this distinction. Mini is definitely as size, but may not be a standard size over all manufactures unlike Group 31 and Group 24. My particular battery (Cyclenbatt Mini) according to specs as compared to my Power Queen G31's and G24's. This Mini is 3.75 lb less and 86.25% smaller than the PQ G31 and is 0.5 lb and 40.98% smaller than the PQ G24. So when your looking to save space size does matter. That's why I feel that the MINI designation has a valid place in battery sizing, but maybe it would be more useful to folks if it was Standardized. Thanks for what you do.
You know I was thinking the exact same thing and that’s what I was seeing about the Eco flow. It seems like a better deal overall and it does seem like it has better protections And connections and if anything fails, there’s a big company behind it. We’re looking for some lithium phosphate batteries like this. That’s what I’ve been seeing is the new Eco flow 12 full and it looked really good and that’s what we are looking for something with a good search capacity like 300 A so I think we’re gonna get those Eco flow batteries and this is actually what I’ve been wanting you to look at when they first came on the scene. Thank you for doing these reviews.😊❤😊
never did like coupons - or club discounts either. just be straight up and plain in a retail/wholesale market. Hey, Will, how about doing a video on signs of a battery bank getting old or having problems! Same with solar panels. I’ve often wondered what things were supposed to look for, as most people will only have one system and won’t be aware of what to look for when this system needs to be replaced? 🖖
Some BMS will keep track of capacity and report it on their bluetooth app. The industry uses 80% of rated capacity to determine when it's time for replacement. You can also tell by the time it takes to charge. If you notice it taking less time to charge, the capacity is dropping.
Try some rubber tool box shelf liner. I use the crosshatch stuff on a roll from Wal-something. I use it everywhere I don't want stuff to move around - carts, speakers, back of the truck bed, ...
If you bolt a plastic disc to the blade, it doesn't affect the cutting, it just hits the work "if" you go through it when you don't want it to. It's for security, not a depth stop.
Will going recursive, pulling up his past vids in his current ones. Nice. Love these reviews. Next time he reviews a battery from this company, he'll pull up this vid, specifically the segment where he has the past vid, so we'll get a 3 deep version. 🙂
Let the machine do the work will let the machine do the work... thanks for your great advice on two products I bought it might get that battery your recommended last week.
If you forget to turn the fan on it might melt. Hang it on the wall to the left or use a squirrel cage fan under the bench and vent it up helping normal convection flow.
A little group 24 battery... starting see more of these but they definitely aren't the first using that form factor in that capacity. I've had a Lithova 48V (51.2V) 25Ah Group 24 battery working away for over a year now. Same capacity. Lets check dimensions... same dimensions too. Too bad Lithova changed their line-up. These days they have a Group 24 12.8V 100Ah battery, but they dropped the 51.2V 25Ah battery and their smallest 48V battery is now 50Ah. I suppose 16s is packing a lot into such a small case, but I love the high-voltage-small-form-factor for small projects because I can give myself a 1000W power budget using only 10 AWG cabling. -Matt
Now that Ecoflow's in the drop in 12v game and for such a good price, everyone else will need to shift the goal posts or they'll be in the dust. I have a camper with (currently..) Ecoflow's now last gen delta pros (gotta love closeout discounts!) and they just work. Ecoflow stuff is great quality and to have their new 12v drop in be so price competitive, others should be on guard! Despite the smaller wiring and the not as good terminals, I think for most the Ecoflow is the safer bet unless they need to push a LOT of amps. Probably too much amps IMO. If you need that much get 2-3-4 to share the amperage load or just go higher voltage.
Secure your work when using rotational cutting tools, and use the dust collection intended for that particular tool. There's not anything wrong with the oscillating tool if you're used to that, but the rotary cutting tool with a plastic cutting blade (not abrasive disc) is the better tool.
The $192 temporary but $240 normal price might be anticipating the impact of the battery tariffs that started on September 27th, batteries on the shelf now likely were imported before the implementation date but replacement shipments will be impacted.
In my case, the LiTime mini was perfect to fit where I needed it. Just enough smaller to fit the space. LiTime says that running these in a golf cart will void the warranty, but I did some Amperage testing, and it looks fine, as long as I am not trying to push an immovable object with the golf cart "gas pedal" floored. I have six of the minis in my 36V golf cart, and it has been working great for almost a year! The regular sized, (Group 24) battery from LiTime and the other companies I researched, including Battle Born, were about 1/4" too wide to fit in the battery racks.
I use two “minis” in my sailboat because of the size of the battery box built in to the boat. Group 27 batteries would barely fit, I have space with the minis. I have plans to use 230ah cells in the future which will give me 460ah, I can fit 8 within the box without any issues.
Seems like that battery would make a good starter battery for a vehicle. I think a regular handheld hacksaw would work great for cutting the tops off those batteries.
Maybe in the deep, deep south but without heaters I don't think any LFP battery is suitable as a starter battery in most of the US, too much time spent below freezing.
Sometimes those mini-batteries make sense, especially when mounting in a vehicle. It can make a difference in whether the battery or batteries will fit in a specific location.
Will, There are many LFP battery or cells that are made to take more tyhan 3C or 5C.. for exemple the A123 nanophosphate are made for 30C continuous and 60C 10 sec and they exist since more than 15 years. Will, might be a dumb question or already answered but what are the cons of adding a NEW battery to an existing battery. I eventually want to upgrade my solo battery with a second one but how long is too long between purchases?
Will... they've reduced the size to a Group 24. Lots of things run on Group 24 sized batteries and... for a pair of group 24 SLA batteries you're looking at $200 a piece. Also, Group 24 SLA batteries are only 75Ah rated and have just 400 to 800 recharges.
Will, any chance you can review any small 12-15Ah lifepo which are designed for golf cart lead acid replacements. Curious to know if 12v batteries can be linked in series and in parallel simultaneously and handle discharge at 700-1000w. Thanks.

@@hmtechsvc thats funny you say that because i too watch torque test and project farm as well too cool well have a good day and thanks for messaging me good to know theres still good people out there in this society
I'd guess that it doesn't even have a current shunt at all. Cheaper not to put it in. Can't have over current protection if you don't know what the current is
There are many lithium ion batteries that can do much more than 7C. in fact most of the battery can do it or even more, it's just a matter of a balance between longevity and peace power, this battery has over current protection it's 700A, I'm not sure why you say there isn't
@WillProwse A lot of EVs with lifepo can output and charge at very high C rates, BYD lifepo batteries can even charge at 5 C so for discharge for sure can do 10 or more, as long the output power is controlled in function of battery temperature (reduce max output power based on temperature or have max temperature cut off) it should be totally fine. The only compromise is longevity of the battery

That's Crazy!
Please review the Chinese DJDC lithium battery, Those are very popular in south Asia
thanks Will any Big Brother rules yet?
When are you doing TIMEUSB? thank you
You get into the guts of the product, you put UL ,consumer reports, on the beeper rack.
What's the best budget 48v battery? Stand alone and server rack.
Indoor power pro is my current favorite
Can you use something like this as a second battery to your car?
I thought all "Mini" batteries used pouch cells??? I remember you took apart a LiTime 100ah Mini and it had pouch cells.
You could use that one for a car starter battery, could you?
Please try to do more testing on the Power Queen 200 amps or you have already made a video you have not done a capacity test of everything
With 700 amps available it sounds to me like they're a prime candidate to replace ICE lead-acid starting batteries.
Hey will what about heated dodo batteries
I'd guess that it doesn't even have a current shunt at all. Cheaper not to put it in. Can't have over current protection if you don't know what the current is
Can you test the SOK 100ah?
There are many lithium ion batteries that can do much more than 7C. in fact most of the battery can do it or even more, it's just a matter of a balance between longevity and peace power, this battery has over current protection it's 700A, I'm not sure why you say there isn't
Not prismatic cell lithium iron phosphate
@WillProwse A lot of EVs with lifepo can output and charge at very high C rates, BYD lifepo batteries can even charge at 5 C so for discharge for sure can do 10 or more, as long the output power is controlled in function of battery temperature (reduce max output power based on temperature or have max temperature cut off) it should be totally fine. The only compromise is longevity of the battery
Isn't this just a group 24 battery vis a vis a group 31 battery.
I really dream a 100ah batery.😢
already raised the price within 7min of video
Why I didn’t see that
No, this time they are requiring a coupon code which I mentioned in video I don't like..I think they need to lower the price for everyone
Up to $239 now
Not buying it. Better options out there.
