Id love to see the top LCD mode screen on the R6 as it was in nearly every DSLR not including the rebel series. This makes portrait and wedding shooting so much easier since you don't have to use the back screen to get every bit of info needed.
Will the R5 Mark 2 get shutter angle in a firmware update for video mode. This will make it easier to use when doing video shoots pairing it with my C70 and Future C400
Wildlife photographers need more MP, while 24mp may suit sports and journalism in 2024 there is no excuse, we need a flagship with more mp tailored to wildlife, yes the R5 ii has 45mp but it is not as suitable as the R1 in terms of build and features not to mention the need for a large battery when using the Rf 600mm and Rf400mm
This is actually something I'm curious about. Canon actually advertised that the new battery from the R5ii would provide more power delivery at a significantly higher rate than the LPE6NH from the previous cameras starting with the R5 and R6. In fact it even shows it as a higher discharge rate than the LEP19 batteries used in the "1" line (R3 included) so I'm curious actually if the new batteries actually change this need
@@sunil3135 maybe that explains why more Pros are choosing the Sony A1 and Nikon Z8 / Z9 over the Canon R3 and will in future over the Canon R1, more mp does not always equate to more noise, but will always equate to more detail and less noise when cropping
@@TheEastbelfast Cropping leads to more noise regardless of MP, the grain will be larger due to cropping (source: th-cam.com/video/h4iQmjONCb8/w-d-xo.html). How do you know that more pros are choosing A1 and Z8/9?
@@sunil3135 When taking photos at ISO 64 or 100 there will be no noise to show up, you only have to visit some of the more well known forums as well as the channels on YT to see those who have switched systems, personally I have the R3 and R5, and don’t have any plans to switch, had the R1 have came out with a larger sensor then maybe I would have, if Canon had put the R5 ii sensor in a R1 style body I think a lot of wildlife and bird photographers would be more than happy with 30 fps to have double CF cards and the larger battery, and integrated grip,
Unfortunately it seems most people prefer it as it is, at least reading the comments and forums. I’m same as you and wish they did it the way you said it.
I use Canon. Have for decades. But the R1 at 24mp vs. the Sony A9iii with a global shutter at 24mp and 120 frames per second.....Sony is kicking Canon's butt on the sensor side.
That Sony global shutter is giving up a lot of dynamic range. Wait until you see the sensor tests on DxOMark between the two cameras... The readout speeds of the R1 sensor are the fastest of any manufacturer negating the need for a global sensor.
If you follow what from canon comes they already mentioned that global shutter it's not problem but there must be compromise in other things (like iso and Dr). So don't fall on stupid things on TH-cam by people they get money from Sony. Exp , nobody ever mentioned the dust in Sony cameras. It's like desert,.
Is it though? I owned the R3 from launch… purchased the Sony A9III. Performed extensive testing between the two… sold the R3. The Sony’s dynamic range and noise performance is virtually the same as the R3 in stills mode. However, in video the A9III has noticeable more dynamic range. CineD recently did a lab test of the A9III… it placed higher in exposure latitude than any mirrorless camera before it. It did so well in fact, it tied the Red V-Raptor-X; Both scoring 9 stops of exposure latitude.
Canon R1 it could be a fantastic camera for sports photographers but its not the flag ship for a portrait, fashion, landscape or architectural photographers. Canon didn´t hear what customers have been shouting for so long. I have been waiting for bigger resolution camera, better color, an internal disk... No innovation at all. After so many years is all about the same. I´ve been saving money for the R1 and Im not gonna buy it.
If Canon continues as it did with the R1, it will continue to lose market share. I waited over 5 years for the R1 and hoped until the end that it would be my third flagship camera alongside my A1 and my Z9. But it won't be. I'm not only very disappointed, but also very angry.
It's very sad, but the R1 is the master of nothing in the camera world: nothing new, nothing special, nothing revolutionary, nothing innovative. For me it's an R3-M2.

У Canon всегда отличные камеры и объективы! 26 лет уже снимаю только на Canon!👍
Do those cameras still support Dual Pixel Raw? If not, why?
Hello Mr John....pls when you'll upgrade firmware for eos m6 Mark II pls

Amateurs need more MP. Not the pros which the R1 is aimed for. More MP results in more noise and probably not 40 fps.

Time to buy R3 at a reduced price .......3999....
Lol they couldn't even more the video/photo switch to the right side like many wanted.
Could have swapped places with the power switch.

Upscale in the Camera: Nobody asks for it nobody needs it nobody will use it

The global shutter is cool but the Dynamic Range is not there yet. A Global DGO sensor would be AMAZING
