Finally a movie that depicts how Cage is more of a fight enthusiast than just an actor
I never understood why they focused more on that and not fighting. It made him look weak at times...Just my opinion

Thank goodness that Johnny Cage has gained the respect he deserve and is now the star of a MK Legends series named after him.
He didn't get respect in the original timeline, killed off by Motaro in MK3. Things turned around for Johnny Cage in the 2nd timeline, after getting saved by Raiden killing Motaro, surviving MK9 and then beating Shinnok in MKX. Now he's getting respect.

This looks like a ton of a fun. Love the art style and that it's not taking itself so seriously as one might expect MK to do. I want the next game to be more like this.

Mortal Kombat has always thrived with 1980’s camp and melodrama; that’s why MK9 was always the best story to me.

That art style is in the vein of Patrick Nagel, a hugely popular artist of the 80s. Duran Duran's Rio cover is his artwork. Wish he was alive to see this. (This looks like a lot of fun btw)

as a comic artist i can say this artstyle is so pleasing to see. It's vibrant and clean and such a great choice for an 80s parody aesthetic.

I think the whole plot of MK fits perfectly into this style =) Foolishness of 80s action films, cheerful pathos and beautiful non-seriousness - perhaps I would like to see MK like this.

After Snow Blind, i'm glad to see that the Legends series is taking more risks and just having fun with everything. This looks like a great time, and i'm glad that the series is persisting.

Is today the best Mortal Kombat day or what, not only we get new characters for MK1 but a full on animated Mortal Kombat movie featuring the OG Johnny Cage. The only thing that would make this better was a teaser for the live action MK film coming soon,oh that woulda been sweet.😎
Hopefully we are entering into a time where we can get more MK solo movies. Then maybe lead them into big team up movies like what they did with marvel. This could be huge if done right.

I feel like he gets too much love personally. Always felt he was a pretty boring character with a weak backstory compared to everyone else yet he’s in almost every game and was a huge part of MKX’s story.
The artstyle looks great, a movie with Cage as the protag is the type of thing I didn't know I needed until I saw it.
I wonder if Johnny's backstory is canon or is it another reality

Snowblind was Mortal Kombat meets Mad Max/Dune. This is Mortal Kombat meets Big Trouble in Little China. Hopefully we can get a Legends movie about Kitana and Mileena. Edenia's background, the sibling's relationship and Shao Kahn's rise to power are all very intriguing story points that can be explored. Mortal Kombat meets GOT basically.
