Wow, Ashish, I am delighted that I found your channel and very impressed with it. I am a native English speaker. A few days ago, a friend's young daughter asked me a grammar question. I effortlessly knew what was right and it was; but then wondered, why is it right?! I just knew that it was but could not precisely say why. I went back to grammar books and videos to refresh my memory, the first time for many years, and what a tangled bowl of spaghetti I found. Many videos define a term. Great. But what is the term used for, how and why? I've just watched a few of your excellent videos. I really like the way you always address these points - what is a term and how/why we use that term in a particular way. Sometimes you do it deliberately. Other times, you just seem to drop it in. But you are so easy to follow. You are a born teacher. Thank you for your posts. I've liked and subscribed, of course.

sir my question concerning the example you mentioned in the video. q1. Donal Trump is hated by many people. in this sentence, action is performed by "many people" then how "Donald Trump" is the subject? q2. pen is broken . in the sentence what is the subject? i'm confused to find subject in the sentence because pen cannot break by its own. a subject/doer is required to perform the action/ to break the pen anybody who can answer these questions , please reply this comment and help me to clear my mind.

I would not call these sentences simple as they are clauses and, there's not a single word that is the focus. These examples defy the definition given for a simple sentence in English. Let's just call them complete.
