    Thank you for all the time you must spend to share so much information. I am going to change over to gsender for my genmitsu 4040pro because i dont like candle.. Also.one of my older (ancient) larger machines died and i bought an electrinics and motor kit from amazon but the decided the table wasnt worth the effort to rebuild... So now im wondering where i can find a cnc without the stuff i already have... I see a couple parts for sale not as a kit but im not sophisticated enough to design and figure out all the parts.. Im looking for 36"x36" or 36"x48" max. Does anyone sell just the hardware without the motors and electronics?

    I really like the gsender layout and it looks very user friendly. My question is, I have a Xulifeng Mach3 motion card in my controller of my CNC. When I plug my computer in with the gsender software, it doesn’t recognize it. Do I need to load a different DLL file or am I doing something wrong?

    I need to know when using Vcarve Pro, are the gcode files the tool path files? When loading a multiple tool path job, do I use the vcarve, crv file or the toolpath file(S). I can't find any tool path files on my windows drive when I go back to gsender to load file. You skipped this procedure.

    My machine is a Shark Pro from 2009. It doesn't have a probe connector port. Any idea if I can just connect to the z axis for probing or just purchase a new board and program it? I downloaded gSender and sounds perfect for what I have been looking to use.

      It's hard to say since a it's 15 year old machine, but it looks looks like it should be doable if you're up for some added effort. You'd need to buy a board that runs grbl if you want to use gSender. Hopefully that helps!

      We don't have access to a XCarve Pro to test but it should connect since I believe it uses the same type of electronics. I don't see there being any harm in trying given that gSender is free and should install on your computer and only takes a few minutes to install.

    Hey Sienci Labs people, I hope you'll actually read this...
    gSender seems to be a very nice piece of software, and I'd love to use it, really -
    but for me, it lacks one important feature: camera based probing.
    Ideally, it work work much the same way as in bCNC, which has a number of other problems, but it has the camera work down.
    So, what would be required is: Display camera image, overlay reference crosshair (and adjust image scaling to match a given diameter), and switch between tool and camera with a fixed xy-offset (i.e., position with the camera crosshair, switch over to tool, and the tool is positioned exactly over the point the camera pointed at before - and vice versa).
    That would be great and enable me to completely switch over to gSender for my CNC work.
    (In theory I could fork and write the changes myself, BUT I am no web developer and unfamiliar with Electron et. al., so it would take me ages just to wrap my head around your codebase - infeasible, sorry, that's why I'm politely asking you guys for it)

    • @SienciLabs
      @SienciLabs  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the feedback lucemiser, there have been a couple other people who have made a similar request but we just have been able to get to it yet since camera probing is much more uncommon. One thing that would be really useful is if you could make a forum or github post that shows your camera setup, the typical work flow of when and how you use it, and the type of camera you use, then it would greatly help give us more context to understand how we could implement a feature to support it 👍

    Before I watch another 18 min video, does this yet have auto level / heightmap like Candle and bCNC, as without that feature I have to move on. I spotted gSender way back when it first appeared and liked it alot, and have been dropping back every now and then to see if this feature has been added, but with all the myriad of changes/updates listed it could be easy to miss which is why I am asking here. If this feature is available I could become a convert, but without it I have to pass as for my use it is essential. If it'is not available now, is there any intention of adding this feature, and if yes any rough ides of the time span, but if no, would be really grateful to know that to save wasting your time in the future. Kind Rgds. - EDIT: I may have to make an apology here, I feel that you 'may not' be the gSender creators, sorry if that is so, but I'll will leave the comment here in case you may be able to throw some light on the above.

      @SienciLabs  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Joe, Chris here I lead the work we do on gSender. I think I recall you putting in a request for that feature a while back and unfortunately it's still not been a very highly requested feature for us to take the time to implement it. I don't want you to feel like we're wasting your time and I'm glad to hear you like what we're doing otherwise. I wouldn't be able to guarantee we do something like that for the foreseeable future, though I totally agree it'd be a great thing to implement. I hope that can give you closure, otherwise you could always check in next year to see where we're at 👍

      @@SienciLabs Hi Chris, so you are the boss. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply, and at great speed too. At least now I know I do need to commit to one of the others, regretfully. I would say that even though there may not have been too many requests for this feature, I'm sure you would gain a mass of the electronic guys like myself that use cnc for PCB's and such like where in the smaller / micro work environment this feature is a must have. Yes, I do think you have made a great job of the UI, well, not used gSender since v1.06 so maybe it is different now, but had a good experience with the tests I played with way back, but as said sadly can't use for my app'cns. Keep up the good work, and maybe have a re think and make gSender a 'complete' sender for all work cases, would be a great shame to limit it's exposure. Many Thks again and Kind Rgds. EDIT: I have warmed more to gSender now I see it clones Fender Tele's, I have an original June 1965 Sunburst one piece body Tele that i don't play enough these days, and my cnc is far too small to clone it, but would be fun, I guess you have don it then ?. SO Rock & Roll gSender.
