I've read or heard somewhere that Amiga version was deliberately made too look closer to console versions unlike Desert Strike. I think it was a mistake. Having impressive graphics and sound is what made Amiga Desert Strike to stand out. Jungle Strike on Amiga is not a bad port compared to horrible SNES version, but there's really no point playing it over Mega Drive or DOS versions.

Not as cool as the first version, but I had lots of fun with Jungle Strike on the Amiga.
