Polymer clay tips and tricks
I use Cernit Vanilla to create polymer clay peaches. In nature, the base color of peaches is either pale yellow or bright yellow. Therefore, depending on the desired result, you can add a little of any brand of Sunflower color to the clay. I outline two ways to create peaches for different clay hardness. If you have a fairly hard clay like mine, you can simply dust your fingers with baby powder and shape a peach in your hands without using the needle tool. If your clay is soft and easily deformed, use the needle tool with a drop of hot melt glue or liquid clay on the end to keep the peach from falling off.
I paint the unbaked clay peach polymer with a mixture of various shades of soft pastels. Choose cool shades of red, pink, burgundy. Add some green and nude to make the color more natural. After dyeing, I bake the peaches on paper, cover them with scrapped half-clay varnish and roll them in acrylic nail art powder. Acrylic powder leaves a light white coating, similar to peach fluff. This is one of the most ideal solutions for peach polymer clay in 1:12 scale. You can also use white flock for nail art for peaches in a scale of 1: 6 or more.
To simulate peach twigs, I use threads covered with wood glue. Finally, I tint the threads with brown acrylic paint.
