What I love the most about the "Do you want to have sex?" conversation is how Lucy handles it. She doesn't freak out. She doesn't make fun of Max's lack of knowledge. She just gives him a concise explanation about a particular part of the act that he doesn't understand, and she drops the subject.
It was hilarious and awkward and heartwarming, and I want more of this type of thing in media. 😊
The fact she continues to show affection with physical touch is sweet, Maximus’ reaction to it is heart melting 🥹
It really shows the cultural differences between us and everyone in the show
Lucy is smart and really kind, so I am not surprised
Shady sands is actually a town you help to build up back in like fallout 1 or 2. If it wasn't for your character, the new California republic wouldn't have ever gotten the foothold it got.

I recently played Fallout 1 and Shady Sands was like 4 huts and a Brahmin pen. Pretty insane what tehy built up in like 120 years. Even more insane if you play Fallout New Vegas where they have new suits and stuff, looking like for ma tailor form the 21 century.

The living areas of the vaults are probably 1/4th of the vault, the rest being for produce
Additionally, they probably use the fish things for food and caviar
@thetoyodacar2264 They are carrying brand-name foods. If the vaults were canning them, they would have generic labels. The label is evidence that they were canned before the vaults closed.

1:41 oh my god I never realized that, his wife works for Vault-tec. This might be the closest thing in the show and the video game lore in the whole of a main character knowing someone who knows what Vault-Tec is like before the bombs dropped.
But nearly EVERYONE associated with Vault-Tec is basically horrible or is involved in horrible things so who knows what and how much the wife is involved within the company at the time…

I never understood reactors who take notes, but now I'm starting to see a possible reason. However it still blows my mind that one can be seriously invested in what they are watching and yet retain none of the information, and worse still, just lack basic reasoning and deduction to make simple connections.

they did not kill one of those earlier. as far as i can remember we have yet to see the inspiration for the ‘two headed bear’ on the ncr flag in any game.
the creature from the earlier episode was a yao guai. common enemy in fallout 3.
the bear is from the original flag of California in real life, they just added the other head because radiation

@@tresblunts I’m just saying that there probably isn’t an actual 2 headed bear that the NCR got the inspiration from. They just changed the already existing flag to symbolize their “new” California
I think these guys thought it was showing 2 bears? But yes, i agree, i havent seen a 2 headed bear in any of the games on which the altered California state flag, the NCR flag, references.
As for the yao guai... if you get the Animal Friend perk, the yaos wont bother you and will fight Raiders for you.
This episode makes it super easy to spot the people who have not played the games (no offense meant). I was absolutely losing my mind at the NCR scene with the Fallout theme and that can only happen when you understand the weight of that moment, which you wouldn't if you never played a Fallout game

I was just saying that the NCR flag scene was made for the fans and that it shows whp has and hasn't played the games. I mean maybe you guys played them a little but obviously never enough to fully appreciate that moment, which again, is totally fine. You don't need to feel like you have to defend yourselfs. I literally had no intention of giving you the impression that you do so if you did feel that way, I am truly sorry. I was really just making an observation. You don't have to feel "ashamed" that you didn't get the reference because that reference was obviously made for the fans who have played the games

In the game, the Stim-pack is what is used to heal you, and it works VERY rapidly; that's how she healed so quickly from the knife wound.

Allots the food in the vaults is preserved or grown, many vaults at this point have opened to the surface, there’s under 20 still sealed from the bombs
I am so amazed, that they could deliver such a great looking and feeling show with 153mio budget, while at the same time delivering absolut crap with a 1billion budget via Rings of Power...
No females from what I could see over at the brotherhood, but if you remember the guy in the bunk having some self motivated fun, this is the "some guys" situation I assume he is speaking of.

Its funny because in real life Knights Templar pretty much lived like school kids. Witt cafeterias and curfews and not allowed girls. Brotherhood of Steel seems kind of like that. Like a bunch of kids that specialize in killing shit. With very little privacy.

Don’t know if this was established before fallout 76 on the hawthorns but they kept one of them being Asian. That’s important cause this is warped america timeline with the Chinese attacked usa. So many Chinese or in general Asians were seen poorly or ppl suspect they were spies, one being the Hawthorne with one of them is Asian. They help make the vaults so ppl suspect they are red spies planning something. Spoilers for 76.
You meet the daughter in game with her still alive, she became a ghoul. She kinda goes into this on how the citizens view her and her parents before the bomb dropped.
If I remember right she admitted on he faults of her parents and her ghoulfication she sees it as a form of punishment for what her parents did, which in next episode we see what they did.
In a way that is a curse she will carry on her forever until she dies or go feral. The knowledge of what her parents done and she was aware of it and forever stuck with that guilt.

I was confused fr awhile about why New Vegas players were so pissed about this show. But when I saw this episode, I understood.
Huh, it sounds like they're making the Brotherhood of Steel and actual BROTHERhood in this show, with only males? In Fallout 4 we was female members of the BoS, both engineers and even a female knight. Well, okay, thinking back to episode 1, there were a few women among the recruits. But yeha, the BoS are not really an organization who have permanent settlements and have families and babies. They recruit people _from_ settlements. And their airships (the _Prydwyn_ in Fallout 4 and the near identical one we briefly saw in Ep1) hae limited space.
I seriously hope you guys release the finally today❤ it’s be greedy of me to ask, but us cowpokes… we take it as it comes.
