Grace... Noah's protection... saving grace.
God would destroy all because all had sinned and fell short of His glory...
Save one man because he had found Grace...
Paul explained to Titus the marvelous work of this protection when he wrote,
"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,"
Grace saves us from the coming wrath of God, just like it did for Noah and his household.
Grace then teaches us the ways of righteousness, converting us from objects of wrath to objects of His protection...
Marvelous Grace...
The spirit is always willing and yet, despite Grace's abundant availability, the flesh is weak.
John reassures us in his 1st epistle saying, that which he writes to us is so that we do not sin...
But...if we do sin, we have an advocate in Jesus Christ...Grace.
He precedes this reassurance by telling us Confession delivers the gift of Grace... the protection from the wages of sin... saving grace.
Confession, not only for the individual but for the collective as well...
Confess... receive Grace...
Confess... receive salvation...
Confess... live in righteousness
but first... Confess... Confess... Confess...
