Imam Muslim in one of his narrations explains the hadith of the Prophet SAW about the inhabitants of hell. Following are the words of the Prophet
love God willing. قَالُوا: لِمَ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: بِكُفْرِهِنَّ. قِيْلَ: يَكْفُرْنَ بِاللهِ؟ قَالَ: يَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيْرَ وَيَكْفُرpet َ شَيْئًا قَالَتْ: مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْكَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ
Meaning: "And I saw hell. I have never seen a sight like today. And I saw that most of its inhabitants were women." They asked, "Why do women make up the majority of the inhabitants of hell, O Messenger of Allah?" He answered, "Because of their disbelief." Someone asked him, "Do these women disbelieve in Allah?" He answered, "(No, but) they disbelieve in their husbands and praise their (husband's) goodness. If you were good to one of your wives at one time, then one day she saw something in you (that was not pleasing to her heart) she would surely will say, 'I have never seen any good in you'." (HR Bukhari).
