      @@TNTMOTO spent most of the day wet sanding the tank, if I could send you a pic of what I started with you'd tell me to throw it away and get another, hahaha, but I just finished with the 2000 grit and I'm waiting on my drill polish kit and cut wax. My tank is white, I want to ask before the polish kit gets here, that is how it should look, is that right?

      @@maw2044 after2k grit all your fine scratches should be gone. it will now just be hazy. The polisher will bring out the sheen and make it look new again. if it was badly stained you will never get the true white back. you can check out my finished yz490 vid and see the stained tank vs the new fenders and panels

    After I used the meguiers I used soapy water and buffed it out with a wool pad gave me a great shine

    Nice job on the tank and calipers, I'd put a camera or something back there because obviously someone has been eyeballing your things back there..

      Plan to do the camera thing soon. Years ago i almost had my 86 CR250 stolen. They already had it ready to go and must have gotten scared off.

    Use that “new wipe” on it. Looks Incredible

      There are a lot of protective layer kits made by different manufacturers. They all work great. Many of them have been around for quite some time . I think Plastic renew is probably one of the oldest. I like to use Maxima SC1 after a polish.

    I"m guessing the Meguires looks so good because of the oil in the wax.......time will tell as it wears off...

    • @TNTMOTO
      @TNTMOTO  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can make it look as good with just dry buff. But I think the meguires will actually keep the shine longer. nothing compares to new plastic.
