Hello everyone, thanks for watching Steam Trains Galore! I just posted Steam Trains Galore Part 6 so if you haven't seen it yet, be sure to take a look! VIDEO: th-cam.com/video/7kFq-2XXnHk/w-d-xo.html
Bro, this is my childhood! I remember watching this back in my preschool years, now I can watch it on my phone whenever I want! This is literally nostalgia, I was 5 back then now I am 14, crazy how time flew by.😢
Thank you Mike Armstrong. I enjoy your films, but I have to say that my 27 month old son loves them and always wants to watch them. Thank you for bringing him so much joy!
A page from back when rails ruled the road and steam was KING..Even though I love the sounds and power that you can hear from the bigger ones I as somehow drawn to the smaller beautiful simpler ones..Wish they could all somehow return..
i grew up in a rail town. every couple of months a steam engine would roll through with a load and everyone that was able waved and clapped when she came through. love that lonesome whistle and that chug...
I am new here and I wanted to share that my now 21 month old son has been obsessed with these Steam Engine videos. He has had a fever for the past 3 days and this is the only thing that makes him feel better. I am so happy this intrigues him so much, Thank you for making these!

I'd give anything to go on a steam engine passenger train ride and see America from the point of view my ancestors did. And would love to see Norway via passenger train in the winter snow for sure! I was born too late. To me nothing sounds more relaxing and exciting at the same time as hearing a train. I often put on 12 hour train sounds videos to sleep by. Pretending to be a child sleeping again.
Steam Loco. Motives are majestic the sound of its horn and the hissing and clanking... Simply wonderful are big Canadian steam engines huge looks mighty and demands respect.
Imagine! Seeing one for the very first time never seen anything so cutting edge and the thrill of going from your town in a luxurious train verses carriage and horses. sheer opulent pleasure my great grandmother thought so from a remote village to the big city of Chicago!
Ah, the romance of steam...there is nothing like it. thanks so much, I adore these trains and I rode in them when I was a child and later on, into my thirties...up three deep steps and into the car, corridor, compartments, restaurant car with great food somehow cooked in tiny cramped kitchens, bar car and congenial company and the thought of the seats in the compartments being turned into beds for the night as one eats yet another fine meal in the evening, then lulled by the rocking of the car and tucked in for the night, slumbers away until dawn. What do we have now? Fast, faster and fastest and all the pleasure gone.
One late afternoon went I was a kid in my sophomore yr. living in Fairbanks, Alaska, a steam 4x4x4x4, with wheels as high as I could reach, came into the station which was across the street from us. Our average size log house waved back and forth about an inch or so when that BIG puppy slowly came in to the station.
I also love old cars as to! Back then these machines had so so much personality and are actually a joy to watch/ride. How they were able to do these things back then when there was little to no technology, no Internet/other things we have today always amazes me. Thanks so much for this video! My favorite has always been the 1225 hehe. Pere Marquette aka "polar express"😍
My son (19 months old) watches this video every day and usually in its entirety. He just loves it. He doesn't like the cartoon trains or even other steam train videos...just this one. Thank you so much for posting this great video!!!

My 2-year-old son loves trains, and this is his favorite train video--he asks me to play it again and again! We've really enjoyed watching it together. Thanks so much for sharing!
thankyou for this video, my 19 month old daughter stared at the television for a long time, first time she see steam trains in action, before she have only heard me do the noices to her picture book :)
I can not thank you enough for this life saving video! This is the ONLY thing that will calm our 15 month old son down when he is upset, sick, tired or just plain hysterical. He can be beyond upset and after trying EVERYTHING without any luck my husband will look at me and say "TRAINS" while running to grab his phone and voilà...like magic he sees your video, manages a "choo choo" and is calm within seconds. We must have played it at least 25 times now!
Thanks for the great video! So nice to have a child friendly video where we don't have worry about foul language or content for our 2 year old who absolutely loves trains. He was jumping up and down with excitement while watching!
I want to thank you so much for posting this clip. There is nothing in my life that so quickly returns me to my "little country boy" years, than this wonderful sound of a locomotive, whistle, and its belling clanging. Makes me want to regress to those years and never grow older. Those sounds remind me of the 40s during and/or around WWII. Thanks, America, for the wonderful country we once had. Ole Johnny B.
Seeing that SP steam engine reminds me of the late 40s/early 50s growing up in my hometown. SP had a fairly decent yard there. Traffic was heavy and it was nothing to see four or five steam engines around the engine sheds and round house.
I think these are the kind of trains that are more reliable even through they're slower, and if they're taking passengers you can actually enjoy the scenery
Thank you SO much for your remarkable, high quality videos! I cannot believe that you share them for free. What a blessing! My favorite parts are the high quality footage and legit train sounds. No music and commentary are necessary. Keep it up! Thanks again!
Thank you, Scott! Glad to hear you appreciate the videos. I'm always working on more. In fact, the third in this series is scheduled to be released in a month. Be sure to check back for it because it will be even better than the first two.
Scott Hinsche I did. Preroll ad, there was a midroll ad and they show up to the right also. You may have something installed to block ads. But yes most of us on TH-cam take advantage of google's adsense program as they call it. There are a lot of people on TH-cam that have enough views per video to live off just making videos.

Couldn't afford it but the introduction said, to the author and his friends (100+ years ago), it seemed nothing could stop the steam trains and steamboats short of hell and high water. Then he realized, that's what makes them go--hell and high water!
My Dad was a railroad men all of his life, he started work at the Kansas & Topeka RR (KATY) in Denison, Texas in 1910, and eventually became a machinist. our family loves the old steam engines and brings back found memories of our younger days.
