the advice, tips and explanation that this guy gives is actually god tier. 2 months ago i started the voltaic benchmark being in gold, now i’m jade with 2 master scores in my dynamic clicking. thanks for all the helpful videos you’ve made edit: actually started at bronze in the kovaak’s benchmark, but i didn’t took improving seriously before switching to aim lab. i started from gold in the aim lab benchmark
@@REDnaXy12 voltaic is an aim community, it’s basically a way to actually rank ur aim (there’s also revosect, but i use voltaic more). most of the videos he do explains aiming techniques and other insights to improvement which would also be beneficial to my voltaic rank
How frequent do you benchmark? Im in gold rank now but havent tried silver fundamentals yet. Will i go straight to gold? Or should i do and be better at silver first?
@@meyrickong sorry for the late late late respond, haven't been on too much recently. i benchmark every wednesday and sunday, the rest of the week i just focus on improving splitting up each day to a specific aim category. an example would be; Monday - Static + Speed TS and Tuesday - Dynamic + Smoothness, etc. i don't use the fundamentals anymore, i just work on the category that's I'm worst at. rn i have dynamic and static masters and evasive TS on diamond, so I'm working on that to shape my aim better
I started at plat complete (a lot of cs 1.6) and in 1 month i reached diamond complete with half of jade scores and 1 master, then i sold my monitor and in 6 days i am moving from argentina (third world south america) to europe!! I think i will reach master in 1 week
Coming from someone that spent countless hours over the past year watching every aimer channel like silkycrisp, Ridd, voltaic, Daz, and every other one. Keep it up man! I appreciate ur hard work!
It's good to hear I'm getting the science right from someone who studies it. Also, your performance on the WPV leaderboards has been insane, keep it up and you'll be hitting a bunch of t7s in no time.
Check out @taydenplus on twitter, he's been releasing some nice hero specific overwatch playlists. Pair his soldier one with the tracking playlist I gave to noted ("1HTMDPE", see noted video), some UFO stuff, CFSI and Prediction Canceling Close and you have a nice apex routine.
I'm probably the only one who wasn't paying attention to what you were saying but looking at how insanely good your aim is. Anyways I love how much research u put into ur videos and how you can do this so quickly every week while doing school
Same as anything. You just learn the new approach. If you’re always scared to train because you might do something wrong, then you’ll never improve. Even if you do something wrong, once you correct it you’ll improve. Reward based on the feedback kovaaks gives not whether or not you did a specific technique
So if I were to keep a bowl of popocorn with me and eat a piece or two every time I set a new highscore whilst im aimtraining, or get a kill in valorant, could this work aswell?
Question for west Proter or anyone who wants to add their ideas :) How do you think the muscle memory of aim training differs on console compared to pc? Pc you control distance of the crosshairs while on console you control speed Thanks for these videos :D Im still in my first year of overwatch with no fps experience. I play console with no aim assist and I love taking the concepts from these videos and applying it into my routine to find what I like. There aren’t many resources on these topics lol. Most of the time I find videos on sensitivity or game settings.
@@consciousgrape1228 I just saw the edit. Not quite sure how console works, though I can say motor skills shouldn't be lost to variations of the task. You can shoot basketballs into the hoop from different distances.
@@WestProter not exactly, it's why nba players have corners that they're more accurate on when doing drills on 3's and why historically whenever the nba has moved the three point line, the shooting percentage takes a drastic dip until players learn to adapt to the new distance. not sure if this is what was meant though
@@mkultravictim38 The idea of moving a 3 point line until the players learn to adapt likely changes the game a lot more than just the mechanics of the skill. I suppose it's never a good idea to use analogies to prove an argument as there's usually a lot of unseen depth to both things, especially since I don't watch the nba like ever. I want to give a better answer than I'm able to tbh. All we have that I know of is a study talking about reconsolidation with 2D osu style aim, and the 6 sample size small scale AL study. The first pretty clearly agrees with me, the second is inconclusive, but leans towards what I'm saying. But sample size is too small for it to mean anything. We also have the countless experiences of people who've improved a ton with rapid sens changes.
Ok, completely unrelated to the video, but I have a problem with my flicks in static, my initial flicks are not bad but whenever I want to micro correct I come to a full stop, so essentially my flick is split in 2 motions. How do I fix this ?
This is likely a mental block. You aren't letting yourself move your arm reflexively, you're trying to flick, trying to microadjust. Try to let go, try to flick without thinking about flicking. See if it goes away.
Most routines are good for that level even when they say for much higher. I’d use my own Val routines if I were you (the wpv project), those are definitely good for vt plat. You honestly would perform better with my mid playlists than easy too most likely
@@WestProterNot sure if you said this but im assuming wpv playlists are made as aim training not as warmups right, also would you say it’s beneficial to do multiple playlists a week for example if I want to work on smoothness and speed and precision do both or do 1 at a time to improve them.
it won't make a huge difference but ideally you shouldn't stay on one sens for long. Depending on what I'm doing I might hold the same sens all day, but other days I'll change it maybe 10, 15, 20 times all across the board. I don't really go lower than 49cm anymore, but I'll go as high as I want, usually peaking around 25 for scores and 15 for training.
A sens is low enough when you question if it’s better than a higher one or not and too low when you can say it’s too low. It is subjective, and it is easy to tell. Once you think you might know, you know
@@WestProter thanks, and not trying to over complicate it, but if I’m getting very close scores on two sensitivities should I go with the faster and train more with it to get more comfortable with it. One is around 35 cms and the other is 50 cms. Or should I go in the middle of the two and forget about it. Thanks so much, your channel has been a huge help
