It is a deeply emotional record laced with spirituality and peaceful sounds, as is often the way with the music made by Paris-based duo Alex H. and Adrian C. Between them they have studied filmmaking in NYC and violin and piano at the Conservatory of Paris. They have traveled the world picking up disparate influences and inspiration from nature, and Alex spends half his year DJing on the island of Mykonos.Before the much-anticipated album comes the 'Inside Your Head' single. It is a delicate late-night lullaby with subtly seductive drums that flow like water. Warm chords and a sparse smattering of hits add to the hypnotic effect while harmonic sounds flood the mix. But it is the pained vocal and romantic sax line that linger in the air and bring a most devastating emotional impact to this heartfelt groove.'Inside Your Head' is a perfect indication of the quiet artistry that makes ‘Journey’ such a standout album.
