Police surrounding building - mutual aid several towns.
Intoxicated male with gun in parking lot - weapon has not been pulled at this time. Police setting a perimeter.
UPDATE -Scene active as of 5:06 PM. Additional assets responding to scene.
UPDATE - Sconticut Neck Rd being shut down.
Staging area for ambulances and medics at Wood School. New Bedford sending assets.

UPDATE - ONE OFFICER HAS BEEN SHOT 534PM ADDITIONAL AMBULANCE REQUESTED TO SCENE. 5:41PM.
UPDATE: Unconfirmed sources indicate the perp took several rounds after shooting officer and is deceased. Sources also suggest retired Fire Chief Tim Francis, was also a patron present at the bar, and may have tried to de-escalate the incident. Grew up on Wayne street my family spent a lot of time there at the Bayside shame to see that happen used to be a nice small town bar that just locals went to thanks again Mark
Missed the content regardling the bolawrap deployment. It was after the ambulance staging requests and the report of the officer shot.
Sad. And the fact that he was the previous fire chief is just wild.
