Because many people view it as a more high-class, ponderous sort of EDM, with a simplistic yet intricate mix that provokes feelings of relaxation, introspection and wonder... in the end it is just banging drums together, but I believe the thing that sets intelligent drum and bass apart from other things is the synth melodies and obscure speech samples.
really this is more of a selection than a mix.. what happened to beat matching, blends etc etc etc. THAT'S mixing.. not this but it's an ok selection.. just got to speak up for the REAL mixers out there, that takes work
