On the flip side, if you don't care about being as efficient as possible. Just go after things you like. Set your own goals and work towards it.
If you want a dream horse, then go work on it. You don't _HAVE_ to do all these efficient choices for gear before you do what you want. Do what you want to do, follow the goals you set for fun.
I literally played for like 4 years just scraping silver together to buy outfits from the Central Market and making new characters to find my main class.. 0 progression and sitting with TET boss weapons and Ultimate TRI Grunil gear xD. Then, I decided I wanted to get the Orzeca outfit and a Dream Horse, so lo and behold. I got my Arduanatt in 3 months of passive attempts (with a little bit of silver spent, passive as in I literally did most of my attempts with the free mats we got. Took ~23 tries I think? I cron'd most of em). In the past 6 months I focused on gear for the Orzeca outfit and started grinding Oluns. Enhanced my own PEN Helmet and Shoes, got Jetina Gloves, and used Magnus Red Nose to get Fallen God's Armor.
The game is a marathon and setting goals and working towards what you desire makes it a blast when you finally reach it. Much more enjoyable that way. I've been totally hooked onto BDO again because of this mentality (beforehand I was kinda on and off when I wasn't sure what I wanted to do and didn't find my "main" class yet.. which was DK). Only annoying part for me... is grinding Caphras for C10 because it takes. SO. LONG!!! I lived Mirumok for like 5 months straight because I couldn't do anywhere else lol. I actually liked Mirumok a lot, but now... I can't even grind there for an hour without falling asleep at some point. At least Oluns helps a lot with speeding up the C10 process. Guess once you taste better spots, it really does feel bad having to grind lower spots. So.. definitely do infinite potions before you can efficiently grind higher spots... *sigh* I need to finish mine. I'll probably just grind Mirumok for 500 atanis elements xD (and level up other characters to at least 60/61 so I can get that sweet 7000 family fame).
Now I'm 650gs working on my third Slumbering Origins armor (grinding caphras, not buying them as it'll take a little longer if I save silver, but I can get two upgrades at once). As a DK, I took glass cannon a little too seriously I guess.. 293 ap 365 dp xD. Anyways, once I finish the third Slumbering Armor, I'll probably work on a proper crystal page and a Deathblow lightstone combination for better grinding. Maybe start grinding at Gyfin Lower :)
After that... my goal and focus is the Nouverikant Armor :3
And then it's pen accessories (I'll do this at the same time as I work on Nouver armor), but pen accessories SCARE me dude. Oh yeah, did I mention that I'm self-enhancing all my PENs. (I might buy a TET, but all PENs I own I'm enhancing myself. So far though, only thing I bought was a TET disto. Enhanced all my other stuff.) So PEN accessories are going to be... something else. I hope luck will be on my side when I get to it lul. Well, one PEN necklace and some more adventure logs (which I've barely done) and I'll break 300 ap woot!

I have questions.
1- Can I start the Magnus quest like on one character and finish it on another? Especially considering that inside magnus we have different items and gear.
2- Should I buy a pen blackstar or straight up enhance my tet blackstar?
3- Are outfits supposed to be in abundance in all servers or does it depend on the server?
4- Is it cheaper to straight up buy cron stones or melt outfits for them?

So... as a returning player after multiple years of not playing bdo i gotta say, workers feel overrated. As a new player you will have to less storage anyway and need most of your cp for that, im at around 350 cp and have to use about 280 cp for storage as i dont want to put in money to buy storage with pearls. And with every node you will need more storage...
You shouldn’t need to, as long as you’ve done the magnus quest line you can access any storage location from any storage npc. Which makes it a lot easier to organize storage and you pretty much no longer need to spend CP on extending storage.
You shouldn't need to use that much CP for storage space. I use about 200-220 CP for storage only and i've had no problems with it, gotta be efficent with it. F2P here too. Only used loyalty for extra character slot and nothing more. Also after the Magnus Questline ther is no need to link every major city/storage.

I disagree on buying gear: blackstar for example is always profitable. U get free artisan, free mems, free anything. The moment that u sell shards and mems to the market u lose 15%+. The real advice is: Buy 1 boss gear and make 2xjetina and 1xmagnus, research if accs are being sold too cheap, but then again u wont buy accs for months.
I could’ve gotten A pen blackstar already if I didnt enhance, kinda sucks for me
