Not only that, but I'm proud to have follow the god of ambition and power seekers in game. I've gotten my hands on armor for all three combat styles dedicated to him. This includes Blessed Rune, Dagon-Hai, and Priest Vestments all dedicated to Zamorak. The Zamorak Dragonhide is my current go to for bossing at moment because of where it's defenses sit at. Also, a near 200 Ranged attack helps.(I combo with Dragon Crossbow) I just can't wait for the price to go down for me to make a mixed set for GWD.
Proselyte is the equivalent of adamant with a 20 prayer requirement, make the prayer ranged gear the equivalent of red d'hide but with the prayer bonus. i mean, you'll be using it doing slayer where the monsters have nada defense anyway, no different to sacrificing strength bonus while wearing pros.
Your GFX, SFX, and editing are genuinely top tier in OSRS content, and the content you produce is super engaging. Hope to see some deserved growth this year as you continue to deliver awesome stuff. 10k is just the start, gz!
Everyone worried about blessed D'hide but this also makes karil's worse and even bridges the gap closer to armadyl. Also it has no downsides to it, where the armadyl has negative melee bonuses and the karils trades off melee def for more magic defence, also they both need 70 defence to wear and this needs 40.
Ideally they nerf god d'hide to the stats of black d'hide to make it the cosmetic it was always meant to be, up the defence level of this new gear to 50 or 60, then buff karil's and armadyl's. Karil's shouldn't compete with a 40 def armor idk why it has been that way for so long

The 3rd age bow was BIS at BA which while not big significantly jacked the price up to its 700-800m at the time. Imagine if that was for other pieces of content people would riot.
About the wand, Id say they could have an item to be used on the Master wand to change it into a dragonbane wand. The new prayer ranged armor could have stats like blue or red dhide, but just give a lot more prayer bonus.
Jagex proposed 3tick magic wand like two times. The first is on TOA reward but changed to 5tick BIS two-handed. the second time proposed on Varlamore reward but changed 5tick Dragonbane magic weapon
Doing clues should be bonus content for the most part. Glad we finally got something progression appropriate. And the pray bonus on blessed was already next to none.
I think if it would be slightly worse than blessed d'hide, that would be perfect. You won't lose out on gear progression if you don't want to do clues, but if you do you get a bit of a bonus
Activities around varlamore could add cosmetics to the ranged armour (similar to diff blessed chide colours). E.g 1k sunfire splinters for orange, bone shards for white, etc.

As an iron who was spooned on his blessed dhide. It’s good they are filling a gap between blessed dhide and armadyl/masori. As well as something that still retains its use afterwards for afk slayer or other prayer hungry pvm. Blessed dhide will still have its niche in gwd but I think it’s good we are moving on from blessed dhide and allowing other things to fill that gap and it takes this once DOA content and makes it a meaningful and important step in pvm progression.

Maybe they should make this one have higher ranged defense but terrible melee defenses. Would go along pretty well with prayer bonus tbh
I don't think the wand will be that strong, it'll probably be very good at Olm but the shadow will probably still be bis there. Other than that it'll only be used for metal dragon and drake tasks. The ancient scepter and master wand will still be used because of their ability to autocast ancients and the trident of the swamp will still be a tick faster.
Skeletal wyverns it would be more useful than a dhcb they have higher range defense than magic defense, but yeah, it won't be a broken item, but it can definitely be good for training magic and hp while making some gp

@@Nick-ij5nt the lance is definitely the best there but you'll still be hitting hard with magic I have a feeling they will add some kind of new dragon weak to magic also with the weaknesses coming you could be hitting extremely hard with magic it might not be very powerful when it first comes out and might even be cheap but when the balancing comes I think it will be way more powerful if it's cheap a week or 2 after release I'll buy one because the weaknesses with magic is really going to buff the DPS a dragonbane wand+water weakness+water tomb+augury you honestly might be hitting rapid 40s and 50s and even some 60s I think we'll have to wait before it becomes powerful and you might be able to snatch it up for cheap on the first week or 2 of release

I hope they give it a cool item model and not just a stupid master wand reskin as seen in this video. Would love to see more sceptres or staves similar to the nightmare staff that gets away from the basic wooden staff look. Could really make something special with this and hopefully we could see more mid tier mage offhands since range now has dhide shields to bridge that gap for its combat style.

On my Ironman, I have nearly 200 hard clues done and not a single blessed dhide body. I went from black dhide to crystal, and now have fortified masori. No blessed dhide body yet. It's absolutely stupid that I had to go so long without a ranged upgrade because of bad rng at clue scrolls. I think it's fine to replace it. Just a reminder, the only reason black dhide was nerfed is because there aren't any upgrades until gear which costs millions. Blessed Dhide was always supposed to be a relative sidegrade, similar to god rune armor sets.
Can't wait for ugly god d'hide to be dethroned honestly. It should have been nerfed with black d'hide, since it's supposed to be a cosmetic variant like the god rune armors. The boots can stay since there's no black d'hide equivalent.

The Blessed D'Hide has higher defensive stats. Years ago pkers could use Black D'Hide and it was very very cheap but still had good stats so there was no risk, so the defensive stats were nerfed (and on the other D'Hide sets too) heavily but retained the same values on Blessed D'Hide, along with the +1 prayer.
Absolutely braindead to complain that clue scroll items are no longer important progession. Mage and range have been absolute trash in terms of main and iron progression and Jagex should absolutely be ashamed of themselves that ranger boots were and are required for pegs and that eternals are still garbage. We've had literally a decade of whips being easily buyable while anything remotely similar dps in range and mage have to be nerfed and extremely expensive to upkeep.

Ranged is a good style against pretty much all of the bosses in an iron's progrssion path where Blessed d'hide would be relevant, so having armour that is both protection against the minions outside and decent to take on the bosses themselves will still remain valuable for a long time in an iron's life. Also the fact that god d'hide boots remain unchallenged by this update seems to still keep the update relevant. I think a more relevant counterpoint to them stating they don't want to make more upgrades to items from clue scrolls would be Devout Boots, which were released 5 years ago and covers prayer rather than BiS DPS output like Pegasians. There's a precedent for it, but personally I think it's for the best that item upgrades of already existing items should be kept to a minimum. When they straight up vertically increase the power of an item that was previously the best, it makes sense for the new item to require the previous best item to make sure the content doesn't lose its relevancy and also prevents the item dropping in price. But when they release an item that is just a better version of the fourth best recommended items at certain bosses, then the "upgrade" idea is just an annoying extra step since the item is already outclassed by other options. When they add a horizontal power-increasing item like this, there's no need for it to require a previous item.

Armadyl could use a small buff tbh, it has always been a lackluster upgrade.
