Everyone says X11 forwarding is faster than VNC or other remote apps. Why is this so laggy in this video, is it because of your network connection, or is it laggy because of X Quartz?

is there any alternative to get rid of this sluggish response?

When I try connecting to my schools linux server the ssh -x command it tells me: untrusted X11 Forwarding setup failed, and I still can not open things in gnuplot. I have Xquartz downloaded but it doesn't open automatically likes yours did. What am I doing wrong that's causing the issue?
If I open an Xquartz terminal everything works fine, how can I get macOS terminal to work with X11 Forwarding?

Is your Mac M1 or Intel based? Xquartz crash everytime I try to run Matlab in hpc.

hi, have you fixed your problem? I met the same things. My mac also is M1 based.

I have it working on my M1 running Ventura.
I made the silly mistake of not enabling XQuartz as a login item, but after toggling that on and rebooting, it works.

Can you make this for windows?

Can I ssh into the mac from windows with x11 forwarding? Would be neat to use X code on windows remotely

You could use RealVNC or a VNC viewer. For SSH, you would need to make sure your Mac is accepting connections, otherwise the connection would refuse when trying to connect.

This is purely academic. If this is the typical lag performance you get, it’s unusable.

There are emergency situations where this could really help you complete a task. It would also work far better when used on a virtual machine locally.

Brother, no one and mean no one is speaking to the issue of REMOTE DESKTOP FOR MAC to MAC. I don't use Windows. I use Linux and I use X11. You're grabbing your credentials for your VULTURE VPS, like that is supposed to mean something to me.
