Atlanta has a brilliant soundtrack. This song is a vibe. Also, Shazam has to be one of the greatest apps of all time.
Right?! I never Shazam normally but I flew to my tv and immediately scanned this song lol
Yessssir
Co-signing. I found some great new artists thru Shazam. I'm definitely getting an "Incognito" vibe with this group.
@@ROYALMOJO 100%
@@bloodyiori check out Red Room by Hiatus Kiayote too. It was on the episode as well. Same vibe. Dope song.
If someone told me this was 60's/70's Soul Motown I'd believe it!
You arent wrong, there are a couple of moments where it sounds modern but its authentic sounding.
Even a bit of dusty Springfield
Yup, but it would be more of the B-side/experimental side of Motown. Not the straight ahead Bubblegum Pop/R&B stuff.
If I heard this on the radio, I'd be CONVINCED it's a lot older than it really is. Love it!
Check out Black Heart by Stoosh and The Walk by Mayor Hawthorne!
I first heard this on the show Atlanta, N i had to find who was singing this song because I absolutely LOVE IT
Me too!
Indeed
Same my dude
You should check this album. It's pretty good. I cheered when I heard it on Atlanta. BADBADNOTGOOD is a fantastic group and they deserve more recognition. Charlotte is great too. They met her early in college. The amazing "After the storm" by Kali Uchis and Tyler the Creator is also produced by BADBADNOTGOOD.
Song set the vibe for the perfect scene
I’m not classy but when I listen to badbadnotgood I feel like I am
Haha. That's diamond. I know what you mean exactly. You're a love, you have to be!
When I listen to this one I feel like i’m driving through a very long driveway towards my Victorian mansion
Omg most likes I’ve got on a comment ever
melenna
This isn’t BADBADNOTGOOD tho...
Damned canadiens, you know how to do magic with music!
This song is beautiful. The melodies, the build up, that singing. I feel like J Dilla would have a field day sampling this into a beat.
So I see you're a man of culture aswell...
Wow!!! U went Dar.....J Dilla R.I.P.
Madlib would too

I remember when I first heard this song. My heart melted. I wished I could go back to the first time I listened to it but its a blessing for its sound to flow through my ears everytime.
I wish I could go back to when I say your eyes for the first time if you know what I mean
@@matty_daddy Yeah... I do

Look up the live tiny desk version...I can only listen to that one now it's amazing
uauu 3:48 Cote d'Azur vibes.. amazing
Instant classic.
true
Man, that's tight...they just played this on Atlanta - Season 3 E6 White Fashion...Can't stop playing it
🔥 🔥 🔥
'Atlanta' brought me here, Beautiful Song.
Atlanta always brings it when it comes to music bruhhhh
When those old school soul back up singers come in with “in your eyes” it hits from all angles
this is legit one of my favorite songs of all time, lost count of how many times i've listened to it
It’s like Atlanta FX has dug into my music library and taken all of my favorite songs.
Heard this on S3 E6 of the show Atlanta. Had to find it and fall into this beautiful song.❤
this is instantly a classic! the way they captured that minnie riperton-eqsue vibe is insane
Mos Definitely!!
Stevie would be proud of these guys imagining Minnie in place of Charlotte singing these verses, however, Wilson deserves all the credit in the world for developing a voice of her own at seemingly such a young age. Wow, just an incredible tenor and sonic range crossing octave levels I would normally reserve for bigger women and men.
Heard this on Atlanta episode 6..didn't expect them to look like this lol
Me neither 😂
@@uchechi1982 🤷😭😭
These guys are beasts!!! Fun fact They did the music for "Got you" by Daniel Ceasar as well.
@@mothersuperior100 ohh shyt that's dope AF!!
wym this is what all jazz band kids sorta look like
This is exactly what Unrequited love feels like properly put into song 😢
I thought that this was a sample from some old early 70’s psychedelic soul. I was wrong, I’m 100% sure that’s the influence though. Straight up B side psychedelic soul track.
the chorus especially, background vocals sound straight out of woodstock lmao
Atlanta brought me. Love it
Atlanta ♥️
[Verse 1: Charlotte Day Wilson]
Don't blow me off so I can't help it
When you shy off I can't help it
And I know you know it's wrong but I'm ready
So just rid yourself of him and come get it
[Pre-Chorus: Charlotte Day Wilson]
Got you enticed from the middle
You know I'm willing and able
And I know you know it's on when you're ready
So just rid yourself of him and come get it
[Chorus: Charlotte Day Wilson]
Oooh, I see it in your eyes
In your eyes every time
(In your eyes)
Oooh, I see it in your eyes every time
[Verse 2: Charlotte Day Wilson]
I know there's something about me
That you can't wait to just tell me
And I love the way you move, it's so bashful
So just take my hand 'cause baby it's natural
[Pre-Chorus: Charlotte Day Wilson]
And I got you enticed from the middle
And I know you're willin' and able
And I know you've got someone but I'm ready
So just rid yourself of him and come get it
[Chorus: Charlotte Day Wilson]
Oooh, I see it in your eyes
In your eyes every time
(In your eyes)
Oooh, I see it in your eyes
In your eyes every time
Oh
[Bridge: Charlotte Day Wilson]
I'll let you into my life
And I'll show you, oh, when it's right
Then I guess we can say we tried
Don't let this fall by the side
[Outro: Charlotte Day Wilson]
Cause I can't, can't leave
And I can't, can't wait
Cause I can't, can't leave
And I can't, can't wait
Cause I see it in your eyes
And I feel it every time
Cause I see it in your eyes
Mila Kostic this song is about a gay relationship too
I swear it's riddle not middle
@@Joe-ww8uw Really?, why do you think that? 🤗
@@oriana8021 "So just rid yourself of him and come get it."
The person Charlotte is singing to is probably bi/pan, or at least she hopes so. We don't know their gender. Personally, I like to think she's singing to me, a bi lady. 😄
This song does literally every good thing that music is supposed to do to a person. Damn. 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Well said👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🫵🏾✊🏾
Thanks Atlanta for adding this song to Season 3
I dedicate this song to someone whose eyes tell me about a future that I cannot make real because our paths crossed too late.
“I see it in your eyes, every time….”
It's like you got transported back to 1965 and you watching this in black and white TV.
It definitely has that 1967 Dusty Springfield “Look of Love” vibe to it, IMO.
This song digs my soul out of it's grave
2024 and this is still one of my favorites
Crying everytime.
Just heard this song on Atlanta Season 3 Episode 6.
Instant fan.❤️
this album is a genuine masterpiece and will be regarded as one of the greats one day.
Atlanta thank you
Atlanta!!
This song should be easily have 500+ million views, wtf
Atlanta took me here. Beautiful doing
This track is a VIBE! Absolutely beautiful.
Atlanta brought me here. It gave my ears a distinct pleasure, I had to Shazam right away. I will always love music.
Her voice could narrate my life. That is all.
Here from Atlanta, thank you Van for this song
I came to listen because Ari Lennox said it was one of her favorites. She ain’t never lied 🔥
Im a lil late to the party😌 Atlanta S3 ep6 brought me here courtesy of Shazam
Atlanta brought me here! 😊
this song so damn smooth
This song is timeless. I have it on repeat
Always come back to this. Something about Ms. Wilson, and these strange fellas with spa towels and baby oil on. JKJK
Great sound outta BBNG.
I want a BBNG/El Michels affair versus. Lol or a collab?? Take it easy.
This song has been in my head for several days lately...
First (from hearing this on Atlanta)
I know this isn't from the 70s but I'm giving it an honorable mention and throwing it in that playlist anyway
I’ve heard this play at my high school. My school plays different music tracks at the start of each period/block. The song list changes once every month. On November at the start of 1st period, this played. It’s a really good song to start off the day! 👍
Giving Fifth Dimension vibe ❤
This tune is so so good. Charlotte Day Wilson has the smoothest of voice. A real beauty 😍😍
Oh damn I was not ready!!!
As my son would say when he was 5, 6 and 7, loving stuff like Motorhead, when he heard Frank or Dean, and the old players, "Daddy, this is some smooth jazz. It makes me feel..."
My all-time favorite song.
I'm just gonna call it now, this song is timeless.
Atlanta took me here.
The music of BBNG reminds me of Azymuth. They have something to say. I like the music they make. Long live BBNB!
omg i thought so too
Her voice is pure art and love and beauty
Shoutout to Atlanta for putting us on to some heat 🔥🔥
Amen to that!
Atlanta brought me here 🙌
RM truly has wonderful taste in music. I am loving yet another suggestion from him 💜💙
Atlanta brought me here and man I can’t believe I didn’t know it was this group lol
lol
Shout out Atlanta

Charlotte’s voice is seriously out of this world.

Hands down the best song of 2016, imo. I love this pizzicato heard only 3 times in the song at 2:12 ! Great production !
I wanted to sample this song for a hip-hop beat, but its too good to sample!!
Bro do it, it'd sound awesome!
Charlottes voice on this track, wow..... such a beautiful track from start to finish. #ONREPEAT
Would you beleive me if i told you that , i had to flip this...it was asking for it...Plus Charlotte has such an hypnotic voice...Gat Dam...Peas and Riicee.

This is a whole vibe! The flow is so soothing and smooth. Her voice 👌🏿😌
I heard this song for the first time at a college party and I haven't stopped listening to it since....A true masterpiece in this modern age!
Someone at that party chose right, sounds like a good party. But how did you manage to listen with all the talking?
Sound so damn good I shazaamed this, paused the show and jammed this 3x.
I will forever be in awe of this song. Reminds me of a man who I will love forever
always nice to comeback to this song and realize it's still one of my favorite ones even after all these years
Been listening to this since I heard it on ATLANTA... Soul for the soul. I love the fact that artists are still making incredible MUSIC!

The lyrics hit close to home in a real fucky way. I love it.
Indeed, but in a very classic, subtle “fucky” manner ;-)
Got a hint of Air - Playground Love goin' on. Love it.
WHAT YOU ARE SO SPOT ON. I CAN'T UNHEAR THIS NOW
As much as I love Air, I enjoy this tune more than Playground Love.
❤ makes me feel something special this one
