I always wondered if that was a way of showing Floor when to start the next verse - she was fairly new in the band here and maybe she had trouble getting in at the right beat? Being a musician myself such "tricks" are useful when someone is new in the band... But hey - it also sound awesome so it could be just that \m/
Mines towards the end (dead camera haha) when floor sings the notes and the one part puts her palms up and it looks like she's throwing fire. The camera angle and placement was perfect!

@@daliden Agree! Often when bands play live you'll excuse mistakes or arrangements with "well, it's live so..." but like you say - Nightwish is actually better live! The songs comes to life and of course it's such a joy to see them perform and have fun doing it.
I like how you noticed how Floor moves on stage. That’s one of the things that makes her such a good front for the band. She has so much presence on stage, you simply cannot ignore her. It’s a skill few really possess and she’s got it in spades.
"I like how she's moving..." That's the thing with Floor - such great stage presence and she's sooooo into the music, so comitted and focused, it's pure joy to see. She's really there, right there in the moment, believing what she sings, MEANING what she sings - and that's rare (and one of the reasons I love Floor) She's into it body mind and soul. Every move is natural, every windmill is great (lol) you can tell she loves it. Nightwish is the perfect band for her - and she is the perfect singer for Nightwish...I'm so happy they found each other :-)

Shudder Before the Beautiful from Wembley Arena is a kick-ass song to start a show. It's one of my personal favorites! :)

Guys, the venue is pronounced 'Vacken' and is in Germany. There were 82,000 people at this festival, of which Nightwish were the headline act. 'Song of Myself' was performed directly after 'Ghost Love Score'. This concert kicked-off their world tour, and for many Europeans, it was the first ever time they had seen Floor. The concert is so good, I suggest you work your way through each individual track, starting with 'Dark Chest of Wonders'. Cheers Kevin from the UK

Glad to see you guys back on Nightwish. Floor Jansen is my favorite female artist on the planet. Her sensuous / exotic and commanding the crowd stage performance, she always and I mean always, has the complete audience's attention. How glad that previous singer a night fish bailed on them 2 hours before a Denver show. To tell you how badass she is on top of the fact that she's undoubtedly the most beautiful 6 ft tall Dutch woman you've ever seen, the band she was in when Nightwish called her oh, she had just got off of a touring mental burnout and was on the tail end of the recovery and then Nightwish of all monster bands on Earth called her and said... Yeah floor, can you learn all of our super intricate, massive lyrics and arrangement soundtrack complex songs in 48 hours.? And fly to our next show so we will have a singer? She got on a plane, earbuds inserted... done! That's badass. Nightwish has super complex changes, parts to wear she goes off and on stage during different intricate parts and well you know the rest

@@TheAdventuresofTNT I hear you T... And as a drummer 424 + years since the late 80s, and no I'm not that old, I've never liked to bash on other musicians especially drummers... Well except for Lars Ulrich of Metallica because is the most simplistic same beat every song he is... Nevermind I digress. My point is there is one drummer that I, not so much as hate, more like... I was going to say Envy but yeah, hey he's married to floor Jansen the singer of Nightwish. But in all seriously he's an awesome drummer, I'm just acting goofy, but serious... And, you need to try out the band shoes with before Nightwish. After forever... Revamp, those are the two bands before Nightwish. And if you want to see her with revamp, since she was in the middle of recording their last album with them check out graspop 2014. She was just finishing with Nightwish and did the show. A good song that she did with them is called... I believe it was, like a monster. And of course after forever was way better in my opinion. Now without super long novelty size narratives about the past and their history I got something perfect for you that will sum it all up by the horse's mouth themselves, and it's cuz I like you guys. you need to teach people how to do reaction videos. You guys do it right. You know the type. Their vocal mic is way too high, the music's too low, and they pause every 20 seconds. And it's usually right when a lead solo is fixing to blaze, or at the peak of a vocal note, or just in general right in the middle of a good part. So you and your man I really like you and the way you do it. Like you the proper way, you set up the video to your viewers, maybe a little backstory if you don't want to indulge that, kick-off the video people get to see your reaction two songs that you've never seen before... Because that's why I do it and watch. not to view something I've never seen with someone else that's never seen it, cuz I mean that would be like going to a movie or experiencing it with someone like a woman, husband Etc experiencing something together. no I watch reaction videos, because it's a song that I know and love... And like to see the reaction of someone that's never experienced it, well experience it. Because I know what parts coming up and what 2 look for on the faces regardless if it's a lead Solo or the vocal performance you know. anyway sorry about the long narrative. It's kind of hard when you got a microphone type system cuz I know my asset and type in more than four words an hour oh, but the only downfall it makes you look like an illiterate cuz half the time it don't type in the words or hear it the proper way but my point is, I can get long-winded especially if it's someone that I'm liking or someone I follow which is very very few. I subscribed to a lot but I might watch one video and then never click them again ever anyway you guys rock on. Okay guys I'll see you later t , and... t

Although it wasn't complete, it shows how much you enjoyed this song. This track was and I think will never going to be played in whole. This song is inspired by a Walt Whitman poem of the same title. The studio recording contains 4 parts and they only played the first 3 parts live. The 4th part, Love, is stanzas recited by several people whom Nightwish referred to as "the loved ones & the fellowship" and it represents half of the song. Yes the whole song is almost 14 minutes long and that Love part is magical. You should listen to it. Oh BTW, the studio version sang by their second singer Anette Olzon. 🤘🏼
I saw Floor 1st time on summer 2012 when she was temp because Anette was on sick leave. Her singing and stage presence was so amazing that I was during the gig "can we keep her?"

If you really want to feel like you are being transported and taken on a journey, you MUST react to the Greatest Show on Earth. And do either Live at Tempere or Live at Wembley. Both are unique and brilliant. Most do Tempere.
Yea, Tampere has something special. But Wembley has Richard Dawkins himself on stage. So good arguments for both I guess. But I still prefer Tampere.

Look up on TH-cam the documentary about how Nightwish got in the predicament needing a new singer when hiring floor Jansen, it'll blow your mind. Anyway it's called... Please can you learn are setlist in 48 hours, or something like... Please learn our setlist in 48 hours, something like that and just type in Nightwish the very first word. What floor Jansen pulled their ass out of the fire and how she did it... As a musician and Ben in many bands in the past couple of more decades... I couldn't imagine pulling that off. I'm not a lead vocalist but I do sing some of the songs because half of our songs 50%, is our own Originals. And although it would be super cheap compared to having to buy multiple thousands of dollars in drum gear and equipment if I was a singer, pick up a fucking mic... Couple hundred dollars done. But I couldn't because... The lyrics and remembering them all the is there super stressful that aggravate one's nerves. So multiply that times a billion, and you have compositions, word structures, so many different Rhythm and timing changes and with Nightwish as well as so many different instrumental parts that you got to know when to go off and on the stage that I don't know how she does it. I mean the keyboard player writes every single song and every lyric. all the people in the band don't worry about that ego shit though because they know if it works don't fuk with it so they're good with it. But so I won't have to try to be your channels new novelist and although trying to help throw down a 40-page near that every time I try to tell you something but I know you're probably could be doing something better. Just checked out that documentary little explain everything up to after her being hired full-time. Later guys. And by the way how the hell you type so fast? I wouldn't done with my last comment you already replied twice. But I do appreciate it I get likes on just about all my comments but nobody but a handful ever reply so thanks for that. And yeah they're all from Finland. except the one that plays the pipes, the flute and other folk type instruments... And Sabaton is from Sweden. so like most metal bands that play Big festivals at all it literally is a big Melting Pot, of metal... People
