Chaos orbs can drop early. It is just very rare. You can even drop a mirror on lvl 35+ wich is at least 25 500+ chaos orbs or 150+ exalted orbs right now in Betrayal league.

Been playing PoE for about 2 years, this is extremely accurate, especially the all chat and currency part, if you can follow the full video and undestand it, you got a full review of PoE from the perspective of a trader.

Couldn't have said it better myself. There's so many wonderful, creative games out there, with great stories and amazing gameplay mechanics. Wasting most of your day on league of legends or this bowl of turd just seems so pointless. The only thing that sets this game apart(besides the gem system) is that the developers are a tiny bit less obvious about their greed than others. Clearly, Sseth has a great taste in games, for he obviously grew up on HoMM and Gothic and other classic masterpieces, so it comes as a shock to me that he'd waste his time on crap like this. I have a merchant friend who plays path of exile and league of legends exclusively. He's just about the biggest piece of turd burglar I've ever seen. If he's any indicator of the player base...let's just say one of him is plenty.
It's possible that I'm wrong, since I haven't played the game since 2013 or 2014. It's possible that it has improved massively since that time. Regardless, Path of exile to me is just an empty shell. Nothing but gameplay. While it does what it does better than any of the games that attempt it, I find the entire concept massively ridiculous. At the end of the day, all you are left with is a gradual increase in stat numbers. Let me explain. World of Warcraft, when it came out, was mechanically identical to the World of Warcraft that exists today. However, it had something the new one doesn't. It was a coherent expansion of the Warcraft universe. It had a rich and deep lore that made sense even in the larger context. Even though it had the bare bones of the "pants collecting simulator" model, it offered so much more, as long as you were willing to read through the quest descriptions and allow yourself to be immersed in the world itself. The environment around you wasn't just there to be exploited in order to advance your gear. Your gear was what you exploited to advance in terms of environment. I'm not trying to take a dump on anyone who likes this sort of game, I just feel bad that the game industry went the way of the film industry. Finding the lowest common denominator, and making sure that all its needs are catered to. Legacy of Kain, in my opinion, was by far the greatest video game series ever made. Each game blew my mind more than the last. Not satisfied with the niche audience, they decided to turn it into a multiplayer arena game. It is possible that it had better gameplay than all the previous titles, but nothing can ever make up for the fact that I've gained nothing in the process. It didn't me think, or reevaluate the futility of my existence. I guess it boils down to the fact that I like story based singleplayer games and the age of those is pretty much over. P.S.: As far as greed goes, they stand to make way more money this way than if they sold you the game for 20$ and/or charged you a 5$ subscription fee. You might not pay them anything, but a certain segment of brain damaged mollusks might blow all their damned money on it.

On my first character I found an exalted orb in late act 3 and put it on my current sword for 1-2 added cold damage

Playing multiplayer games is like drinking raw sewage with a straw and chewing on the chunky bits.
I'd say that is where you discard the straw.
Kurt Rustle it doesn't remove the fact the game was made from the ground up to be a f2p skinner's box grindy multiplayer game.

There's so many wonderful, creative games out there, with great stories and amazing gameplay mechanics.
Wasting most of your day on league of legends or this bowl of turd just seems so pointless.
The only thing that sets this game apart(besides the gem system) is that the developers are a tiny bit less obvious about their greed than others.
Clearly, Sseth has a great taste in games, for he obviously grew up on HoMM and Gothic and other classic masterpieces, so it comes as a shock to me that he'd waste his time on crap like this.
I have a merchant friend who plays path of exile and league of legends exclusively. He's just about the biggest piece of turd burglar I've ever seen. If he's any indicator of the player base...let's just say one of him is plenty.
It's possible that I'm wrong, since I haven't played the game since 2013 or 2014. It's possible that it has improved massively since that time.
Regardless, Path of exile to me is just an empty shell. Nothing but gameplay. While it does what it does better than any of the games that attempt it, I find the entire concept massively ridiculous. At the end of the day, all you are left with is a gradual increase in stat numbers.
Let me explain. World of Warcraft, when it came out, was mechanically identical to the World of Warcraft that exists today. However, it had something the new one doesn't.
It was a coherent expansion of the Warcraft universe. It had a rich and deep lore that made sense even in the larger context.
Even though it had the bare bones of the "pants collecting simulator" model, it offered so much more, as long as you were willing to read through the quest descriptions and allow yourself to be immersed in the world itself.
The environment around you wasn't just there to be exploited in order to advance your gear. Your gear was what you exploited to advance in terms of environment.
I'm not trying to take a dump on anyone who likes this sort of game, I just feel bad that the game industry went the way of the film industry. Finding the lowest common denominator, and making sure that all its needs are catered to.
Legacy of Kain, in my opinion, was by far the greatest video game series ever made. Each game blew my mind more than the last. Not satisfied with the niche audience, they decided to turn it into a multiplayer arena game. It is possible that it had better gameplay than all the previous titles, but nothing can ever make up for the fact that I've gained nothing in the process. It didn't me think, or reevaluate the futility of my existence.
I guess it boils down to the fact that I like story based singleplayer games and the age of those is pretty much over.
P.S.: As far as greed goes, they stand to make way more money this way than if they sold you the game for 20$ and/or charged you a 5$ subscription fee.
You might not pay them anything, but a certain segment of brain damaged mollusks might blow all their damned money on it.
Can't wait for the Diablo: Immortal review.
