    Al horford is probably the most underrated player in the league, he is essential on defense and has a really high basketball iq

      He’s a lesser version of Draymond Green. Still a good player though. If he gets a ring and one or two more all-star picks he’ll likely be a hall of famer.

  • @Mastas2

    How many times is Stephen A and others going to write off the Celtics this year only going to be proven wrong? I remember after the first game of the season listening to Charles Barkley saying the Celtics season is over because Hayward is out and they are a 4-5 seed at best. After we lost Kyrie people wrote us off again and look at us now. God forbid this team gets any credit.

    • @suadelegend5443

    • @fsdfdfds6803

      Xan Frank they probably will but that shouldn't take away from how great this team has been. No Kyrie and they are still in the ECF. They are still undefeated at home in the playoffs. Don't underestimate the Celtics. Although I still think Cavs in 6. Still Celtics deserve so much credit for doing what they've done

    • @Mastas2
      @Mastas2 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Everyone had us getting eliminated by Lebron before the season even started with our healthy roster so if we get eliminated by Lebron I am honestly not upset. We have a chance against the Cavs and if it's a small chance I will take it to the bank with this team. If we had a healthy roster we be the easy favorites to win the east and if you don't agree with that statement your just wrong. Also if we had a healthy roster we would be in definite contention to dethrone Golden State in the finals.... Brad Stevens makes basketball easy for his players it's that simple.

    • @suadelegend5443
      @suadelegend5443 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Xan Frank eliminated early??? You must be talking about Toronto lol. I'm pretty sure we were in the ECF last year and now this year!!! And our star I.T got injured last year. This year We're down two stars!!!!! lol I bet you're very happy lebron can play against our injured team again. Boston should be respected without doubt at this point. If lebron and love were injured,,, the Cavs wouldn't make the playoffs at all and here's Boston down two stars yet still this deep in the playoffs lol. Be humble like we Celtics are

      Ty Ham national media overhyped them, guys like SAS, real Sixers fans from philly are very happy with this season. Nobody even thought we’d be over 40 wins or in the playoffs. I’m not giving excuses I’m just saying it was a good season and the Sixers will only get stronger.

    • @charlest870
      @charlest870 6 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Media overhyped them because they went on a 16 game winning streak, Bron and Cavs were struggling, Irving was out and the Raptors were still the baby dinosaurs. Celtics was just a bad matchup. Stevens exposed everything that is wrong with the 6ers. Full credit to the Celtics 👏🏼

    This is dumb. The 76ers started the season with a stated goal of making the playoffs. It's only because they exceeded that goal by so much that expectations rose and now people are disappointed. They won 28 games last year and this year they were the 3rd seed and made it to the 2nd round. It was a good season.

      In theory, but when you realize they lost to the only team they were not suppose to which was Boston. In the East, that's the competition for the next decade, and they had their two best players missing and one is only 25 years old. If they can't beat them now, what is the chances of them ever beating them? unless they got a big time free agent.

    Celtics are in the exact same position they were in last year with Isaiah Thomas...that system and front office is impressive but most importantly Tatum, Terry, Al and the rest are really putting in work, don’t be surprised if they shock Cleveland in 6 or 7 I doubt it but it’s a possibility

      I think this is going to be a great series, just imagine Boston was fully healthy. But in the long run I still think LeBron is too much for any team (in the east) to handle maybe for the next 2-3 years. The man is not human and besides Kyrie and Al, nobody on that team is battle tested (Al’s only been to the ECF and got swept as the 1 seed to LBJ) as much as LeBron is. We’ll see, a lot of great basketball to be played in the near future and I can’t wait!

    Max picked the raptors to go to the finals, stephen A picked the 76ers go to the finals, and they both lost in the 2nd round. But the East is weak and Lebron has it easy right?

    • @asilaydyingguitarist
      @asilaydyingguitarist 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Andy P Yep. The 76ers are insanely talented and have a ton of untapped potential but they’re young and inexperienced. The celtics have great young players and have Stevens as well but they’re also inexperienced and don’t even have Kyrie and Gordon. Then we have the Raptors, who never fail to choke when the light shines on them. I’m not taking anything away from Lebron, he was absolutely sensational in the last two rounds but if he had that roster in the west he would’ve been eliminated already. They’ll likely beat the Celtics but they’ll be hit with reality in the finals when they actually go against a really difficult team.

    • @Andy-rg7yi
      @Andy-rg7yi 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

  • @Blackberry21838
    @Blackberry21838 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think the truth is in the middle. Part of the issue with the 76ers is that many writers (The Ringer crowd especially) crowned them as this great team with transcendent talent, but then make excuses because "they are young." The Celtics have just as much young talent, and they were better in this series...yet nobody was giving them the benefit of the doubt because they were young.

    Truth be told the Celtics have a winning mentality in the front office and coaching staff. They made it to the playoffs last season and have solid veteran leadership. Al Haford has been a solid contributor for over a decade. Philly overachieved, but ran into a team that grinds it out and plays tough defensively. Philly had a great season and have a bright future. The media needs to relax.

    This was the ultimate successful season for Philly after 5 years of purposeful losing. They came into the season hoping to just make the playoffs, and ended up winning 17 in a row to finish the season with 50 games and the 3 seed. And not only did they make the playoffs they played so well they made the 2nd round and had finals aspirations. And not to mention Embiid and Simmons in their 2nd and 1st year as players respectively, they showed superstar potential throughout the season. Anything that happened in the playoffs was free money actually we shouldn't have had any expectations with such a young team. They did great this year all things considered. And they'll have a chance to really develop another number 1 pick in Fultz in the offseason.

    How do you get young great talented cheap players?
    A) Tank the season(s)- Process
    B) Trade star players just before they begin their dip down for draft picks- Process
    C) Trade players and draft picks to get a superstar- Process
    E) Trade a hobbled player for a better healthy player- Process
    Process means you process assets in the offseason.
    Danny Ainge might just be an angel sent down from the GM gods to wheel and deal.

  • @Daratsian
    @Daratsian 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The difference between these two franchises is that Sixers have sucked for many years and that resulted into having alot of lottery picks. Some where great, some were busts. Celtics on the other hand have had nearly as many early first round picks throughout these years ,while playing in the playoffs every year and having a decent team and ontop of that, they signed Kyrie and Hayward. That shows you how good a gm Danny Ainge is, relly on another level.

    • @feroce82

    • @Daratsian
      @Daratsian 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But my point is that Celtics created this possibility. How many GMs do you know who would trade 2 players who led them to a championship and ne of which was the franchise player for 10+ years. And remember it's 2013 Paul Pierce and Garnett we talkin about, not 2008.

      It's not just drafting it's also developing players. The celtic's develop role players while most teams dont focus on lower drafted players. Look at guys like Avery Bradley, Kelly Olynik, Glen Davis, Marcus Smart. Guerschon Yabusele,Semi Ojeleye. They develop role players instead of going out and paying big money for role players.

    • @Daratsian
      @Daratsian 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

This is the WORST Sixers team of the next 5-7 years, THINK ABOUT THAT. what is max even saying here? he's basically saying the sixers rebuilding process (tanking every year) was more impressive than the celtics rebuilding process (tanking once and making the playoffs every year after while robbing every gm) which is absurd. also, this notion that "philly is too young" wasn't even a thing when they were picked to win this series in 4-5 games. not to mention the celtics are actually a younger team so thats not an excuse. simmons was awful all series as was brett brown and the celtics showed their discipline all series long.

  • @marcusbell-dixon4733

    The sixers were never even suppose to win 50 they over achieved. And they did it with 3 rental players all the the players they signed were on a 1 year contract and they were all 3 point specialists not athlete's. If the sixers wanted athlete's they whould have made a move at the trade deadline and got Evans from Memphis, or a couple other guys on the block but they didn't. They wanted guys that can come off the bench and shoot 3s. They did that so they can sign a couple of max players during free agency. So I don't know why everyone is over reacting to them losing to Boston when they have 4 guys under 25 years old and will be here in Philly for the next 10 years possibly plus who ever they add in free agency. Just enjoy the long hall that is going to be
