Danessa is amazing! I had the privilege of her doing my make up years ago and let me tell you I was blown away. I am so proud of her and her brand making it into retail. Her products last forever and work great alone or even as a base.Thank you for doing this video ! Xoxo
@@AmandaZ Yes she did my wedding make up and actually Wasn’t doing brides, but took me as a client. I was so honored and she has the most amazing story ever. I saw in Morphe they had her line and I was so happy to support her!
Danessa Myricks looks like such an innovative brand and I've been so excited to try some of the products they offer, thank you so much for this video! My wallet may be crying, but your recommendations are super helpful
Her products are amazing!!! And a little goes such a long way. The initial purchase might be a lot depending on what you get but you won't need to restock for a really long time.
I am SO thankful you introduced me to DM. I just got some dew wet balms, balm contour, power bronzer, and exposed in her colorfix. Such amazing products and tbh, for a "professional mua company," I feel they are very reasonably priced and last a long time (so far) anyway. Beautiful! So glad they're in Sephora now! OH, I had to add you would probably LOVE the EXPOSED shade. It's that taupey brown shade that I also love! The dew wet balms in clear and morning dew omg they are incredible and new staples for me. I use it over or under other highlighters such as Stila Heaven's Hue and it's so beautiful
I swear by Danessa Myricks' line as a professional artist and also a consumer in my non-working life! Not only this, but her emphasis and very PoC/Black first (not that she 'excludes', but she's not afraid to uplift us and put us first in a world that often backburners us/puts us last) marketing and product development. It's also wonderful that she really caters to professionals (since she is herself is one) but has products/is approachable enough for every day consumers, as well!! I've attended classes of hers and she's honestly such an absolute G E M!!! So happy you had a good experience with the brand so far!!!
I love Danessa Myricks!! I think it's really sweet that she/her team is very interactive with her customers and fans on IG. She seems like a brand owner who is truly innovative and passionate about makeup artistry.
I bought Celebration because of your recommendation in a One and Done video and I absolutely love it! It pairs beautifully with Ulta’s matte cream shadow!
i'll post a swatch of tiara vs glossier niteshine for you tomorrow fave highlighter ever, unironically obsessed-- it's in the sweetspot btwn beaming and natural
Love this! SO glad Danessa M is at Sephora. Not only incredible, but so well-priced, esp considering how little of everything you need to use. I have colorfix in Creme brûlée (a rosy mauve matte) and Ballerina, which is a pink metallic-beautiful. The one I have a harder time with is Venus, a multichrome pink foil-it’s stunning, but patchy on me.
Can't wait to try this brand. I heard today Becca is closing down! Super sad- as i love their under eye corrector and primers. If you like you should do a vid of your favorite dupes from the brand. Also, would love if you test out their new tinted moisturizer. Some like it, but others say it's like a big highlighter all over their face.
I’m not Amanda, but I love the under eye corrector from Pixi and have used it for years. I’ve also heard that the Char Tilbs version is a dupe, but I haven’t tried that one, myself.
@@its_me_jen_jen9204 I like the Pixi one more than the CT one just because the Pixi one felt more moisturizing under the eye. I don't like either of them as much as the Becca one though :(
@@RitzyPeople ohh that's good to know too! I need something more moisturizing. It's funny i had a mini deluxe sample pot of the Becca one for 4 years now and it's finally half way done! lol. it really take me forever to finish products.
I love Danessa Myricks! I’m so happy they are now available at Sephora and that more people have access to the brand. The formulas are truly innovation and the color fixes are the ONLY product that will actually last on my hooded, teary eyes! Like others, I was interested to test out the brand when I saw your demos in your past videos. I ended up getting celebration to try out first and then I stocked up during the Black Friday sale and got the shades exposed (lovely beige-y taupe color that turns out to be a nice contour shade one me!), nude #4, chocolate, wonderland, venus, vision flush in ballet slippers, vision color cream sample, and the cushion eyeliner. Thank you again for introducing us to these great products!
I LOVE her products. For the Vision Cream Cover: Mix it with your moisturizer or face oil, it works wonders. I mix mine with half a drop of The Ordinary Rosehip Faceoil, literally less than half a pump with half a drop and it covers my entire face, I apply with my hands first and then blend with a sponge… your skin will look plump, glossy and flawless.
I own the Nudist Palette and it was honestly the best purchase I made in 2020. The shades and formula are just divine. I use it on my lids, cheeks and lips. Just such an epic product! I also have a Colorfix pigment in Milky Way and OMG it is just an absolutely gorgeous shade! The glimmer and wetness it gives off is incredible. I bought it on Hannah Louise Postons recommendatiin and was not disappointed. I don't hear anyone really talk about the Nudist Palette. I would love the other shade range of the Nudist, I forget what it's called. Beautiful! Great video Amanda! 🥰
I bought my first color fix in March 2020. By August, I had nearly every color fix, vision blush and her foundations as well as the contour palette and the nudist blush palette. Her products are incomparable. The best products she has, other than color fix, are those palette. Run, don’t walk, to her site to check those out. And her contour balm is heaven. I’m a deep tan skin and no one has nailed a contour for me until now.
@@its_me_jen_jen9204 ha ha that's awesome!!! Thats exactly what I thought of when I heard it. I heard it many times watching her vids but today I felt like commenting about it...im glad I'm not alone 😅
My mom and I discovered DM last year, now we can make a whole look with few products. It's an amazing brand she created. I have the colorfix in a nude color, celebration, rust (amazing lip color), glaze on clear and kaleidoscope (for me they are perfect, non sticky glosses for lips and cheeks), the vision flush in tiara (color dupe for CT highlighting wand), bread n butter, ballet slippers (perfect monochromatic look), nutcracker (perfect contour/bronzer), the dew wet balm (favorite finishing highlight) and the moisturizing oil!... it's a lot, but they are really really worth it. And they have world wide shipping! I got all my stuff in 4 days, and I live in Perú...during international quarantine. 🔝💯
Thank you for the great content as always. Can you please consider filming a video dedicated to your eyeshadow application technique? I love the fanned out look with not too much product on the inner portion, but I would love some detailed help!
I love your eyeshadow color and placement. So pretty!😍 But girl, that Armani concealer is a no-go! Maybe it just needs set with powder? It's creased quite a bit on the lids and settled in the fine lines. What do you think?
Thank you so much for this review!!! I've been eyeing so many of their products for so long, but the international shipping costs really hold me back and I'm overwhelmed by the selection. This is so, so helpful!!!!
Vision FLUSH in Ballet Slippers is my favorite!! it just goes well with everything and stayson in any weather.. such a gorgeous color and amazing quality! I love pretty much all her products... her Essential Cream palette also aboslutely rocks... so versatile and long wearing.. the Dew Balms are incredible (HOt Water and Rosewater are my faves).. her foundation is a bit too thick and too full coverage for me but otherwise, her products rock in quality and color...
Just bought some DM from camera ready cosmetics after trying in store and buying a sample. The samples have gone up in price so I likely won’t do that again. I love the yummy skin tint, color 4 for eyes and cover, and have loved it so much I decided to buy some more items (nudist, nutcracker, and tutu bc I like a brownish pink and think mixing will work for me.) been using two weeks now and super happy. It’s the first foundation I’ve used that really looks like skin. Thank you for your review. I’ll likely buy bread and butter if mixing is annoying
Excited this is coming to sephora! Been wanting to try. My only complaint is the packaging really. It just looks super cheap/kids-makeup like, especially for the price point! But I will still give it a go because I just love cream shadows so much!
Thank you!! I just saw this brand on Sephora's site and wondered about it - I know Katie Jane Hughes is a fan but your review really helped me understand each product
@@AmandaZ Well you've definitely inspired me to wear it less! I'm also checking out Danessa Myricks Beauty products because of you as well! Do you have any favorite matte shades for the Colorfix?
The content of these videos has the particular character of thoroughness. It's very helpful, and I appreciate it the more after searching for a bit more breadth in order to see more swatches. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Amanda’s personality, but she makes sure the products have a chance to shine, too, and I also appreciate that she’s not OBSESSED with everything.
