One of my favorites as a kid!!! I looked forward to seeing it on tv....back then this movie along with other great movies, like Wizard of Oz came on once a year around the holidays....because you only saw it once a year you really enjoyed it and appreciated it!!!
This was a customized car-boat hybrid with the rear rumble seat, and that is how it floats in the water. Somewhat like the u.s army D.U.K.S. that have been at the Wisconsin Dells for the past 60+ years, as of 2021.
I also like the next scenes with Miss Truly Scrumptious, played by Miss Sally Anne Howe, when they are driving parallel to the railway track and pacing alongside the blue 0-6-0T saddle tank lettered G.W.R., (but really from a different railroad).
Hey, the producer of CCBB was Albert R. Broccoli, the same guy who produced all the James Bond movies, and to say that Broccoli DOES EVERYTHING BIG is an understatement. I'm sure that Broccoli preserved the CCBB master with utmost care, as evidenced by its incredibly sharp transition to disc!
I saw Chitty the other day at the Warbirds & Wheels museum at Wanaka, New Zealand. She's on display there until April 30th, lent to the museum by her owner Peter Jackson. It was amazing to see the original Pierre Picton car in the flesh. Well worth the trip.
I love chitty chitty bang bang.i watched that move sence i was a baby i know every single part of the movie.this movie is popular to me.love you chitty chitty bang bang.
She really is a car of all trades. She can be a car, a boat, and a plane all in one. Oh, and a helicopter. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is not only an awesome set of wheels, she looks good doin it.
I loved this song as a kid but the dollhouse thing scared me. But 40 years later I still can't get enough of this car. You're seats are a feathered bed...
I Like this video alot, This movie is alot better then over half the stuff that is out there today. If they made cars like this today we could just press a button to fly and we would get around practically every traffic accident or construction and school zone.
I have a 6 year old and a 4 year old (both boys) They ADORE this movie. I found it cheap at a store and bought it on the spot, may have to go buy another copy. Ours is so warn out from them watching it. lol
I have a mild hearing and speech impediment , as a child I could not distinguish ch- from sh-...caused my mother some amount of distress in singing this in public....
1:29 I was about to yell at the guy to keep his eyes on the road when suddenly he looked back at it, and there was a split second where he looks horrified, like he's about to run into a building or pedestrian or something. xD
Oh no!!!! Now I'll be singing this for days. Why did I decide to take days typing "child catcher from chitty chitty bang bang"? Now I'm going to drive my friends insane.
Fun fact my neighbour used to own this car used to walk by it every day to school, not sure if he passed away or moved out however after selling the car.
my cousin works on cars, and he uses "chitty chitty bang bang" to describe engine problems he said that any car that sounds like Chitty here has a definite issue
Loved this as a child, and still do ! we never grow up, only get older !!
Whatever happened to wholesome movies like this that the whole family can watch? I miss those times as a child watching movies with my mother
A true timeless classic
Yes you like it
Well I think I played it

We practiced that song every day in school assembly till we nailed it. I still love this song 🎵❤💕.

We had the cassette in my house. Wish I could get a link to download for my kids. What a classic.
Modern boom boxes can do that I think

It was used in loads of films including The Day of the Triffids .

The movie was shot on a 65mm negative!
I'm usually all over old movies from my childhood, but chitty chitty bang bang was one that even when I was 5 years old, despised beyond words
I can’t no longer imagine this song without thinking about that Ace Ventura scene.
man I remember this movie, saw it when I was 4 or 5. and now that I look back it it, it is truly a buitiful car.
it's ugly as fuck lmaooo
@@mak0zy161 that "ugly" car is worth more then your entire life earnings. Actually people would run you over for a mere 1/4 of the cars value lol.
@@drzaius8430 cool! it's still ugly as fuck 👍
@@drzaius8430what a weird comment.
ポッツが、鬼レストアし終わって納屋から出してくるシーン、美しいですよね。いつ見ても鳥肌が止まりません!
