      +Rondo Schiavoni Take a look at section 6.1 in the user guide which is available at posguys.com/mobile-computers_6/Motorola-MC40_1303/ under the downloads tab. 6.1 should be just what you need. If you purchased the MC40 from POSGuys.com give us a call and we will walk you through it. We support what we sell!

    Will sprint be carrying it?

      Antonio Botello Our apologies, the MC40 that we thought would be running a cellular radio ended up being the Motorola TC55. (Check it out here posguys.com/mobile-computers_6/Motorola-TC55_2365/) The MC40 is an inside-the-four-walls device.
      Will Sprint be carrying the TC55? The TC55 is available unlocked from us as well as other resellers. There are models available with support for LTE_HSPA+ and Verizon cellular networks. To summarize that means it will work but double check with your service provider and call us to make sure you are getting the correct model before purchasing.

    What application are you using to scan? I just purchased 6 and im having a difficult time. I cannot download the google play store, is it not compatible?

    • @POSGuys
      @POSGuys  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      We used ScanWedge which should come installed on the device. To protect against installation of unapproved apps by employees the MC40 does not come with the Google Play Store installed. You can manually add it by downloading and installing the Google Play Store APK (Android Application Package). This CNET video will show you how. th-cam.com/video/O8V8aLwOGHA/w-d-xo.html If you ordered the devices from POSGuys.com simply give us a call at 800.903.6571 and our tech support will walk you through the setup process over the phone.

      Unfortunately, I did not, I purchased it from another vendor. ScanWedge is not installed on the MC40 and I tried downloading Google Play store, but the app does not work. Thank you for the information.

    do pawn shops buy these?

    • @POSGuys

      +Matthew Hollar I am guessing, probably not. Typical industry level devices like the MC40 have security features built in that prevent them from being used for any purpose but what they were purchased for. For example, devices can be set to 'brick' and completely shut down if they leave the company's wireless network. It makes them essentially useless to other users and helps prevent theft. On top of that applications are often custom developed for the business using it which means another company isn't going to benefit from using that software.

    Can it not scan QR or barcodes off a computer screen or mobile phone?

    • @POSGuys
      @POSGuys  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      The MC40 has an imager (barcode scanner type) built in so it can read barcodes from computer screens and mobile phones. It can also scan 2D codes so it does read QR codes.
