Fruita, CO- Joe’s Ridge and Mojoe at 18 Road in the North Fruita Desert.
Joe’s is easily in my top 5 favorite rides in the Grand Valley. It features quality longer downhills and low to moderate exposure for a distance a little over a mile. Joe’s quickly tapers off into a trail built a few years ago called Mojoe. Mojoe is a fast and flowy single track with a number of small jumps. You’ll need to harness some speed to clear the doubles and table tops. Riders who aren’t comfortable with riding the jumps can easily bypass them.
The initial descent on Joe’s Ridge is pretty steep. Even though Joe’s Ridge is a mid intermediate trail, steep descent skills are a prerequisite for this ride. Finally, this is a good launching pad for beginner mountain bikers who seek to move to the next level. If a rider isn’t too comfortable on this ridge, don’t go to Zippity Do Da. Session Joe’s Ridge multiple times to reach a solid comfort level.
Check out the Zippity Do Da video for more information on 18 road in general and the primecut climb.
Thanks to Rado Life for leading the follow cam. Check out his channel at: / @joshbarnes172
Believe me, he is much better at mountain biking than Outdoor Gold

Loved that sundown light! Totally a bucket list destination, thanks for showing.
I could totally do this on my ebike. Can't wait to go have some fun....AFTER I do the 401 Trail which has been on my list for a few years. Great job!
Absolutely love that trail
Such an awesome trail system! Thanks for sharing!
Oh yeah, its in my top 5 in Grand Junction! Thanks for the support MTB Action Cam!
Love it. Moved to fruita and just started riding. Did Mojoe 3 times today. Might try joes tomorrow!
Nice! Joe’s and Mojoe are some of my favorites!
Done it many times. I live in Paonia, just a couple hours away. I overnight in the parking lot, or camp multiple days in National Monument - alternate riding between Rd. 18 and Loma. A great area!
F' that road! Ride up Prime Cut!
Ever gone UP Joe's ridge? I have. On the way to Western Zip.
Incredibly beautiful footage!
GBY! Thanks for the positive support!
As always a great video and the light was caught superbly I wish I could come out and ride those trails.
Thanks RHP, nothing beats that sunset glow at 18 road!
Awesome trails bro, and great video!
Thanks a bunch Reynaldo! This is one of my favorites!
That's such a fun trail! Great lighting on this video. 🤘
Thanks Horns High! Always appreciate the support man! I'm always trying catch some of that neat lighting behind the lens. Also, I'm digging your videos man, keep up the good work and the stoke alive.
Beautiful video
Thanks a bunch Ken P!
Good job man keep up good work
Thanks for all the support Thim! You're the man!

Thanks a bunch Simple Skyline! I appreciate the support!
Nice! got some great air on those drone shots!
Thanks TBB! Keep up your good work!
My favorite trail on the 18 Road trail system!
I'm definitely going to agree you on that one!
OGP, this trail was incredible man....would be sweet to ride sometime dude (im in Washington)...drone footage is sick too!...thanks for sharing man!!
haha dude, I'm going to have a sit down here pretty quick and watch you vlogs! I'm sure your channel has a bunch of good ideas! And I've been trying to step up my drone game, but its pretty time consuming and the tech is almost at the point where it can be a real game changing experience for amateur video footage. I'm glad you like it!
Hey man i truly appreciate that....the drone footage you will see in my roadtrip playlist is my brothers drone he just let me use all the footage.
I gotta get back out to ride Joe's Ridge. After the climb just rip it!
Joe's Ridge is a great warmup (risk assessment) for Zippity Do Dah.
100% right Paul, I couldn't agree more! Thanks!
何て気持ちがいい動画だ、自分もMTBで走って要るようだ。
Yeah man! So fun!..
For those steep climbs, they should invent some sort of smaller chainring... So you could switch between a large and small chainring.... Brilliant!
LOL I would say maybe we need a front derail.......ugh..... Pinion Gearbox! Thats it!
Outdoor Gold - maybe with a hidden motor ;)
The Crashing Dad an e bike that runs off AA batteries lol
sweet edit !
Thanks Biker 38!
Nice clear and clean video picture, very watchable! What is your setup? Nice Job, new subscriber.
Thanks a bunch Douglas Bruce! I will probably put out a video out some time this winter when the trails in GJ are covered in snow and I can't ride about the camera setup so stay tuned. The skinny: Go Pro Hero 4 Black, EVO SS Gimbal, Stuntman chest harness, and a DJI Spark Drone. Appreciate the support!
What software did you use to edit the video?
I'm a flatlander that's done some trails in Moab that were intermediate. How long does it take or how many times would you have to ride Joe's Ridge to be able to do it fast if you're like a beginner? Nice video and narrative!
It would be cool if that drone would be able to hang behind you about 20 feet up. Not like you have to worry about trees.
Seriously!!!! I found the spark to be a little to slow and much better for stationary shots. Someday I'll try to remedy by getting a Mavic Pro.
Dude, nice one 👍 and I’m not just saying that cuz I’m in it haha
But you made it so much better! Thanks Josh!
I ate shit at where they are at 9:00 D:
