@R Baugh Alumni all over the nation do things like this. People give to others who they think they can help. Now if proven racist people, black or white, do this, best believe someone would make it go viral just as this video has. This has only gone viral because a billionaire was at an African American University. What we ALL should be doing is, making tuition more affordable. Working together to ensure NO ONE has to graduate with the burden of being in debt. We should be challenging other alumni, churhes, and congress to give back to schools.

As much as we hated being bussed there was an advantage to it. Like Robert stated, we learned to get along with other races and the teachers were the best. I remember 2 teachers in particular to this day that helped shaped me and that I owe to Mr. Kingsley and Mrs. Hymen, both were fantastic teachers and saw my interest in science.

I hope these young people are listening to this brother speak about Black community. They must come into the knowledge of creating and reestablishing the black community. This gesture of sending them into the world without debt has started them on the road to become paragon's in their community. They now have the resource to go out get gainful employment and start off on the track to save and develop a wealth to put back into not just themselves but their communities. They must keep this thought in mind for their "nation" and I emphasize that word. The Nation we are in is not the nation we must protect. Our nation is our people.

Robert F. Smith's benevolence is simply amazing. This is true greatness. His acts of kindness has reverberated across the ends of the earth. I mean, here I am far away in Nigeria, completely blown away by his speech and his donation. May God almighty continue to bless his blessed soul.

That was inspiring for all of us who heard it, no matter our stage of life, our gender, ethnicity, race or religion. Wow! We may not have had a Mrs. Brown or a Robert F. Smith in our lives, but we can all be that person in someone else's life.

This year, 2019 marks the 400th year when the first slave ship sailed off the shores of west Africa, carrying men, women and children who were held captive as slaves on the white man's land. And for Mr. Smith to have done this for 400 men? There's no better way to define freedom than this gross act of generosity.
Thank you Mr. Smith. You have really left an unending mark in the 400th year.

No polarized politics, no personal agenda, just a pure gift from the heart.

Black Male Masculinity be BETTER not BITTER. Robert Fredrick Smith Shows What Alpha Male leadership looks like. Nothing replaces DOING The Work to become Expert and Specialist in your chosen field of Careers. Be INTENTIONAL about the Words You Speak, also INTENTIONAL About Your Associate. Confidence in your own Worth. You are only bound by Your own Limitations. You are "good enough". Treat All People With DIGNITY and RESPECT. "Call Your Mother and Show Her Love"

    • @toyinoladimeji5812

@boy14395 Are we SPEAKING about the same topic here. Black men emancipation, self love/brotherly love, "black love" between men and women, BEING each other keeper in order to obtain full potential. Be INTENTIONAL in ALL that We do TOWARDS each other "BLACK LOVE" and Self ACTUALIZATION. "YES BLACK MEN (WOMEN) CALL YOUR MOTHER, SHOW HER LOVE" NOTHING LIKE A MOTHER'S LOVE, SHE'S YOUR ROCK, SHE GAVE YOU LIFE..U EAT & DRANK WHAT SHE HAD"

They can create a fund raising platform specifically for erasing student loan debt. If I had the money and/or connections, I'd start one AND CONTRIBUTE TO IT
