I served 4 years on the USS MISSOURI BB63. Seeing a battleship brings back fun memories. Nerf wars would've been fun underway with nothing to do.

Tecnichly they cant fall into the engine or harm. Even if they did get into the boilers it would melt into oil before they go into the engine anyway. So they cant harm the engine really.
