I am commenting under my Husband's account. I lost him to a heart attack in September of 2022 after 33 years of marriage. Just appreciate each other each and every day. Never hesitate to show affection and appreciation to each other and in those times when you might think , "Why did I marry this person because I am so angry with him" take a moment to remember all their good traits so you can say, "Oh, yeah (with a smile), I remember".

We’ve been married for 46 years. We met in October, we’re engaged Year’s Eve, married in June 1977 and became parents in July 1981. We, intentionally, waited for 4 years to have children. We now have have twin daughters, a son and recently became grandparents. Enjoy every minute you have with one and other. I remember watching your wedding video last year and how beautiful it was. My husband and I were together 38 years before he went home to be with Jesus. When you said you married your best friend, I can say that I felt that way about my Jim. A lot of people might think that's corny, but I think everybody who is happily married feels that way. That means you married the person God chose just for you! The way things worked out for you two seems like you were meant to be. Even though you were long distance at first, it all worked out to where you were able to get your house only 15 minutes away from your parents, Corie and just a little over an hour way from Austin's. Everything for a gorgeous wedding worked out very well even though if I recall, you had a little trouble with the tuxes, but even that was solved pretty quickly! I enjoy watching your videos so much that you feel like family to me because I started watching Celebrating Appalachia a long time before it had anywhere near as many subscribers as it has now. Because of Tipper, I subscribe to and watch The Blind Pig And The Acorn and the Presley Girls too. I got y'all an anniversary present, but it'll be a little late because it hasn't come in yet. One of the things I can say after being married for 35 years I love my husband more today than ever. Also the one thing I can say is it’s not 50/50 in marriage. Well, my late parents were married 69 years until, God called daddy home; mom followed him up 7 years later. They both agreed that couples need to LISTEN TO EACH OTHER…Mom had a famous side eye glance and Dad just went to his tool shed. No words, just love. I wish you both the best for years to come.

He was in a motorcycle crash and was in ICU when we had our 51 year. During the month he was in the hospital they kept saying things like squeese my finger and stick out your tongue and open your eyes. On the day of our anniversary he looked at me and stuck out his tongue and opened his eyes. That was the best anniversary gift he ever gave me. I was 16 and he was24 when we got married and had 4 children 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Y'all keep loving each other's take care of each other. Good bless your marriage

Get Olive about 4 doggie t-shirts. It helps keeps the dog hair from getting all over the house. I do that with my two doggies during winter coat shedding. You can get special balls when you wash and put them in the dryer and it collects doggie hair. Happy Anniversary!!!

I remember watching your wedding video last year and how beautiful it was. My husband and I were together 38 years before he went home to be with Jesus. When you said you married your best friend, I can say that I felt that way about my Jim. A lot of people might think that's corny, but I think everybody who is happily married feels that way. That means you married the person God chose just for you! The way things worked out for you two seems like you were meant to be. Even though you were long distance at first, it all worked out to where you were able to get your house only 15 minutes away from your parents, Corie and just a little over an hour way from Austin's. Everything for a gorgeous wedding worked out very well even though if I recall, you had a little trouble with the tuxes, but even that was solved pretty quickly! I enjoy watching your videos so much that you feel like family to me because I started watching Celebrating Appalachia a long time before it had anywhere near as many subscribers as it has now. Because of Tipper, I subscribe to and watch The Blind Pig And The Acorn and the Presley Girls too. I got y'all an anniversary present, but it'll be a little late because it hasn't come in yet. One of the things I can say after being married for 35 years I love my husband more today than ever. Also the one thing I can say is it’s not 50/50 in marriage. Sometimes it’s 100% for one and then 100% for the other next time. But you guys took your vows very seriously as did we so I wish you bot many years of continued happiness!
Well, my late parents were married 69 years until, God called daddy home; mom followed him up 7 years later. They both agreed that couples need to LISTEN TO EACH OTHER…Mom had a famous side eye glance and Dad just went to his tool shed. No words, just love. I wish you both the best for years to come.

Thanks for sharing your story with us. I'm hooked on the Presley girls. My husband and I were married 51 years when God called him home. He was in a motorcycle crash and was in ICU when we had our 51 year. During the month he was in the hospital they kept saying things like squeese my finger and stick out your tongue and open your eyes. On the day of our anniversary he looked at me and stuck out his tongue and opened his eyes. That was the best anniversary gift he ever gave me. I was 16 and he was24 when we got married and had 4 children 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Y'all keep loving each other's take care of each other. Good bless your marriage

Get Olive about 4 doggie t-shirts. It helps keeps the dog hair from getting all over the house. I do that with my two doggies during winter coat shedding. You can get special balls when you wash and put them in the dryer and it collects doggie hair. Happy Anniversary!!!
