So all cathedrals are churches but not all churches are cathedrals. A cathedral is just the ecclesiastical seat of a bishop or archbishop, so it’s more of a title given to a church building rather than a type of church building.

It's a very nice region. I've passed there so often on my way to Italy, first with my parents then alone.Baden Baden and the Schwarzwald are really lovely, I've stayed there several times . The region Schwaben in the past was really important. I just came back from Southern Italy (Puglia) and Frederick II Emperor (13th century) build there a lot of castles, very impressive. He was also king of Jerusalem. In Italian it's called Svevo or Svevia, I had to look it up myself although I speak both languages 😊

Great Video! Heidelberg has a beautiful castle and old town, which was supposedly the reason it was not bombed in WWII. According to some (local) stories some general of the US Army liked the city and wanted to live there after the war so it wasn't destroyed

3:05 I should like to mention that archaeologists don’t dig up fossils, those guys and gals are paleontologists. Archaeologists dig up ancient artifacts and bodies, that are human in nature. Just a clarification, I love your videos :)

I'd just like to say that the Eurosat - CanCan Coaster, the dome that looks like Spaceship Earth from EPCOT, was actually built after the one in Disney World. The one in Disney World opened in 1982, while the one in Europa Park opened in 1989. My inner Disney nerd just had to point this out lol

Ooh thanks! I read that Europa Park was older than WDW so I assumed lol

The map of Swebia you showed doesn't fit with your timeline of telling the History since its just the swabian part of Bavaria (that remains still one of three Cultures or dialect regions of Bavaria). Historical Swabia would have been much bigger, including todays Baden-Württemberg, the Alsace and large parts of Switzerland.
