  • Hello everyone!
In today's video I review my experience going to a Jordan Peterson lecture for his tour. I take you through the before, during, and after of the lecture and give you some of my thoughts. Was it worth it? Would I go again? Is he as smart in person? This is a vlog surrounding the events of Jordan Peterson coming to Tampa Florida for his tour where he lecture about his book 12 Rules for Life. I also saw his wife Tammy Peterson give a short speech. Overall, it was a great experience!

That’s honestly exactly what I expected! JP had a REAL rough few years medically and he’s still brilliant. I started listening to his stuff in 2017ish and that content is still some of his best, imo. I’d gladly go see him in person just to support him and his community but I’m certain I’d come out feeling the same way you do. I also like him a little better in the podcast scenario where he’s got someone else to kind of bounce ideas off of or cut down on some of those lengthy “he’s why I like blue” answers 😂

Yes, I kept saying I wish there was a timer or something to keep him focused hahah but overall it was a really awesome experience !

A few years ago JP brought clarity into my life when I was at a quite desperate and confused place. I'm greatful that I found his content and that it is available for free.
I broke out of a victimhood mentality and realized that empowerment goes hand in hand with in self responsibility. A message a lot of modern social movements should embrace

I agree, personal responsibility is SO important! Not many people actually take personal responsibility now a days!

    Random question
Would it feel awkward or out of place to eat during his lecture?

I think you meant a three-piece suit, which is the pants, jacket and vest. There really is no such thing as a four piece suit. Very interesting video, but I would like to have heard more about your thoughts on what he said on certain controversial topics.

I don't watch Jordan Peterson as much as I used too. Really like his older stuff. Felt that he was a bit more nuanced and calm in his early days than he is now. Still makes interesting stuff though so I make sure to check in on him from time to time. Cool video! Totally understand what you mean about the whole not wanting to marry someone like him. If I met a girl who answered questions in the way JP answers questions then I'd probably lose my mind! Have you checked out the TH-cam channel Dry Creek Wrangler School? It's a great channel for life advice that I think is communicated in a more relatable way than Jordan Petersons stuff. Best video to watch first would be "When you just ain't got it all together." Anyways, again, cool video. When I first started watching your stuff I figured you were a thoughtful girl, and the fact that you're into JP's stuff confirms my suspicion.

Yeah I agree about his earlier stuff but it was still really cool to see him in person. I’ll have to check them out and see what I think! Appreciate it 😄

My sentiments EXACTLY!!! I was highly disappointed… guess I was expecting more substantive subjects…. It was just so vague and felt it was more of a sales pitch than anything. Traveled outside my state to go see this and felt super disappointed, specially for cost of tickets.

    what questions did he answer?

    • @cristinalaura
      @cristinalaura  ปีที่แล้ว

      He answered:
      1. What advice would you give to a soon to be father
      2. Does Joe Rogans podcast studio smell like marijuana
      3. What are you thoughts on Donald trump
      4. What is the key to your relationship with your wife
      Those 4!
