Visiting Myanmar without Visa : A day trip to Tamu (Tamu Travel Guide)

I did this trip in early 2015. Being an Indian I was allowed to enter Myanmar without a visa but only up to the nearest village Tamu. Several Indian traders cross the border to visit the Tamu market on a routine basis. This is a part of bilateral trade between Moreh and Tamu which has become an essential part of living of people residing on the both sides of the border.
During the day trip, I got a glimpse of the modern Myanmar. I talked with the locals on the different issues. Visited the highest place in Tamu from where I could get the panoramic view of the whole town of Tamu and the border of India.

Those people you met in Tamu local market are Nepali origin and have been living in Burma for generations they are Gurkhas and migrated from Nepal during world war . I am one of them . Your trip to Tamu was interesting and reminded me of my trip earlier. But one thing I noticed is that you did not interact with any of the local ethnic people. South indians, Biharis, sikhs. What about meiteis, nagas ,kukis , myanmarese. any aversion to locals.
Maybe language difference?
