Christi is always concerned about Maddie, Christi should be more concerned about Abby’s behavior instead of Maddie and weather or not she’s upset. How was Chloe wrong for saying Maddie was crying? Look at the footage she was.
If Abby would look up from her phone and clap and acknowledge that sometimes it's ok to be second Maddie would react better. Instead Melissa and Maddie get to play victims

maddie looked to Melissa and Abby for their approval and they turn their noses up at anything that isn't 1st. they both say maddie is a perfectionist but i feel like they've just given her an almost crippling fear of failure or letting them down when they act like that and don't celebrate her in a real constructive way unless she places first

No, it isn’t. They were angry about Abby’s behavior, not jealous of Maddie’s talent and opportunities.
But she has favoritism because she's the most talented and picks up things quickly and doesn't make the lazy mistakes most dancers do and adds to the choreography. And their complaint is "Why isn't my daughter praised the same way?" implying Maddie isn't any better. So they are jealous of her because the favoritism is there because Maddie earns the praise she gets. Not just because Maddie is a good friend but a bad dancer and gets favoritism.
So the solution is to tear the little kid apart and tear down anything she does. Nice one

Maddie and Melissa need to learn to except losing is apart of life. Chloe is certainly not evil. Melissa always plays the victim of everything and when there is a problem Melissa throws everyone under the bus. Abby is the evil one she only cares about Maddie's reputation in dance. She only cares if Maddie wins. If Maddie loses, then Abby just gets mad and says "thats a joke". Melissa needs to stop playing the victim. She needs to except losing. Nobody is evil here.

She overcame people trying to put her down for being acknowledged for her talent. By survivor, Abby meant in terms of performance. You can either start making mistakes because you're in your head or you can keep wowing the crowds because you have confidence.

In dance nothing can be given to you its about how much your gonna work for it and how bad u want it. She wants them to want it bad not just to win but to be better as a dancer.
KAWAII KITTEN there’s a contract with lifetime and Collins Avenue where they can’t leave for ages, you’re referencing the girls contract to Abby. That’s why the Ziegler’s left in Season 6, they’re contract ran first ran out. Kelly, Brooke and Paige had a lot of trouble getting out of her contract and wanted to leave so much earlier but was bound to it until they were fired by Collins Avenue for breaching the contract due to the lawsuits what came with the Abby and Kelly fight in Season 4. If you don’t believe me then There’s a video by MackZBoss from her Dance moms uncovered series that explains it really well.

She didn’t get everything she wanted handed to her. She worked for it and was always put under a lot of pressure. And more pressure if she didn’t get it her self. If she wasn’t a top notch dancer, and a winner in a lot of things, she wouldn’t get nearly as many good opportunities. But also because of that Abby uses that to her advantage a lot. She was expected to do the best. Nothing under first or she was a “failure” as Abby said to her multiple times. Not even second best. Abby should have been uplifting all those girls telling them they can do it instead of putting them down. And Abby doesn’t uplift you as much if you’re not already a winner which is terrible and that wouldn’t help any of them. And if you are already a winner, and you do anything less than be the BEST, be number 1. Then as Abby says you’re an automatic failure🤦🏾♀️ along a lot of other things. There is so much more that people don’t see and I could go on but I don’t have time of course 😂

This isn’t the first time Maddie didn’t win first place. However it’s hard when you’re expected to win and everyone wants to make comments about you not being excited about second place. “You are a Survivor” she came second place get over it coming second doesn’t make you a survivor
she was talking about the other moms beating her and her mom down constantly. it wasn’t fair for christi and chloe to be like “maddie was crying 😂” and to pick on her for it. maddie lost a lot of confidence in season 3 so the wins really helped her feel better about herself. she probably just felt really discouraged when she got second. she’s lost before and didn’t cry. there was definitely a difference between losing then and losing in this episode. christi and chloe shouldn’t have called her out on it though and made her feel even worse.

soft summery why is it only edited when it’s in Maddie’s defense? Like, most people know that the show was heavily edited, but how come people still get angry at Maddie over events that were edited? When the show started, Maddie was portrayed as a brat and Chloe as the sweet one. That still must be in play today, from all of the hate Maddie gets on these types of videos.

Remember Maddie crying alongside Chloe after she forgot her national solo? Remember Chloe and Christi comforting Nia after her solo was unfairly judged in the 45 second audition? Remember Brooke and Mackenzie hugging every girl after they were yelled at for no reason?

I loved this one clip where Christi told Chloe it was about trying her best, not about winning. She was reminding her that she was awesome and that the placing didn’t determine her worth as a dancer and as a person. I just love that.
