I feel in the grand scheme this game is often overlooked, probably because as far as casual play goes, it takes a lot of patience. But it may actually be tied for my 2nd favorite Zelda game... I love everything about this game.
@@celinaVODs It was and is a beautiful game. There are some tedious parts (as in any game), but I actually find the open sea parts very calming. It really set a bar for combining the open world gaming style with the classic puzzle-solving nature of earlier Zelda games. As in, there are just as many "dungeon-like" puzzles in the open world. It's one of the most unique games ever, IMO.
As far as I know, the “Hero of Time” did not appear bcuz at the end of Ocarina of Time, Zelda sent him to his childhood (another timeline), meaning that there was no Hero of Time anymore in her timeline. Then, this new link in Wind Waker becomes the Hero of the Winds.
I'm 31. I remember playing this with my little sister back in 2006. I got a PS2 and she got a Gamecube for Christmas. Before that, me and my older sister beat Ocarina of Time. We had to use AskJeeves to look up dungeon walkthroughs, especially the Water Temple.
This game definitely got a lot of undeserved hate when it came out. You can find out the story behind that if you look it up. It was very an unfortunate response from fans as this game is absolutely incredible and so beautiful and cohesive, it didn't deserve the hate it got from people that had different expectations of what the game would look like.

Wind Waker receives a bad rap sometimes, but for me it is one of the best Zeldas of all time. I will watch your VOD because I have never saw the HD remaster and I love watching people play this game for the first time, there is always some part in the game that leaves them speechless.

My opinion on the animation has changed so much over time. It was my first Zelda game ever when I was like 6-7 so as a little kid I didn’t even think about the animation. Then as I got into my pre-teen years and played Ocarina, Majora, and then Twilight Princess I started to think that the WW animation was childish and not “realistic.” As an adult though I actually feel like the animation still feels extremely fresh and has held up over time. It just doesn’t look or feel like a game that came out all the way back in 2003.
A new subscriber. Wind waker is one of the best in the Zelda series. I haven't played it in almost ten years. Still waiting, hoping it comes to the switch. Twilight Princess is the other very high on the list. Hoping you do an LP for it. Phantom hourglass is most like the Wind waker but is underrated. I enjoyed it. Good luck growing your channel!

believe it or not my first Zelda was Breath of the Wild. Then OoT, MM, A Link to the Past, Wind Waker and most recently, Minish Cap!
