- Are you wondering why you, a man, hated the Barbie movie?
You're not alone. Today I unpack a common male viewing experience of Barbie and how we can learn from that experience to become better versions of ourselves.

This is a good explanation insightful to 🤩
ohhhh this is a whole insight into a perspective I didn't know much about! I was literally wondering today why a lot of men were not happy with the Barbie movie but couldn't quite figure out why, this answers a lot of that wonder
Glad to hear it!
While there's a little bit of generalising on my part about the kinds of men that didn't like Barbie since many vocal 'anti-barbie' men take an 'it goes against my beliefs/values/perspectives' position. But by digging a little deeper into what aspects of their upbringing affirmed those believes rather than challenged them, I think we got some insight into why they hated it *that much*.
Essentially everything women are put through is what Ken goes through.
Underrated video! Rlly enjoyed watching 💖
This was such a great insight. Thank you for not only sharing your thoughts, but your experiences as well.
Thank you so much for this. At first I was confused because I took the movie seriously, and thought it was a really bad representation of what feminist really is, then I saw it again and I noticed it was a parody a irony. Then I realized all this things you saying. Then I saw so many people taking the movie in diferent directions and then angry people saying bad things about the movie, thinking that feminist is bad and so on and I'm here like feminist is not bad. Now I find your video and you explain everything so well that I wish the movie was made better so the understanding and message behind it could reach to everyone but because of some poorly aspects made to it, it didn't get to everyone like supposed to. But thankfully we got people like you that can make videos like this. I wish the movie was made by someone like you and someone that did the dialog and drama of the movie the proper way so everyone can understand so we get united instead angry at a doll movie. I will say everything else in the movie was good like the music, dancing, the actors and all the barbie world created from scratch.
While I appreciate the praise, I don't necessarily think that the movie was made 'badly'. Barbie did bring some fairly heft topics into the spotlight and it's okay to not understand them at first! It's a lot to take in.
Nobody is born with an inherent understanding of things like 'the implications of the patriarchy on the male experience'. But that's what I'm for, and what creates who talk about content like this are for! To fill in those gaps :)
Soo underrated! ❤❤
