I never thought I would say this, but the more he talks, the more I feel like WB made the right call removing him. He was going to turn DC into ash to prove a point.
At this point, I don't care if Superman kills in this new movie or not, I just hope it's a good movie. That said, there is something that is a huge show of power into not killing, even when it feels like you should with every ounce in your body, and giving that quality to a man of almost god-like power would be a nice way of showing that message.
That is also a show of no real struggle if one gets what they want out of such situation without carrying that heavy weight at all , and it's not interesting at all to see a character have that level of power from the start against his obstacles instead of working upto it eventually , it feels too flowers and sunshine , devoid of any realism at all or too arrogant , if the counter to this is " Superman was just made like this or he's a god etc " then this character will never interest me , Snyder's version and other ones who have to go through similar hardship do , i'd much rather see him struggle in the beginning and eventually earn the level where he's that powerful because he's just that determined alongwith being kind to make it happen .

That's why I prefer Nolans Batman over Snyder's. Bale's Batman was closer to the comics and cartoons than Snyder's Batman. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Zach Snyder doesn't like Kevin Conroy's Batman. He likes Frank Miller's Batman. And that's why we got the version of Batman that we did in Batman Vs. Superman. Bale's and Pattinson's Batman were closer to Conroy's Batman.
Yeah TDKR Batman never killed lol. He was more aggressive, and ruthless against criminals , but he never went outside his morals and even quoted in the novel he still hasn’t killed anyone. That older and world weary Bruce knew he had to be a little hardcore, because of how dangerous Gotham had become even pushing the limits but never went too far. In BVS, Batman just thoughtlessly killed, and had no remorse or reflection on it, even branding criminals. I wish there was a direct reference in that movie, stating that losing Robin, and everyone killed in Metropolis in Man Of Steel pushed him over the edge, and without the killing aspect would’ve been a much better and more accepting version of the character we got. There was no sympathy until the Martha moment.
Nolans Batman peaked with Batman Begins, that was when he acted almost right out of the comics, then in TDK he loses his obsession, and as the movies go on he loses what makes him the most Batman.

Sure some people take canon way too seriously, but Batman in the 30s was a gun tottling vigilante, then in the 60s he was the Adam West Bright Knight, in the 70s he was a hard-boiled detective, in the 90s he was a dark, grim, and gritty anti-hero, and since the 2000s he's basically been an all-purpose superhero with a family. Batman can be intercepted in any number of ways and audiences are willing to accept almost nothing as long as it's good. The reason people rejected his version of the DC universe isn't because it didn't adhere to canon, but because they weren't good.

Movies have always tended to be more 'ok' with kill happy protagonists than other mediums but in nearly all of them, a big part of that is the way those protagonists killed because not killing meant they would probably die and fail at whatever crucial important task they were undertaking. Superhero's however are supposed to have enough strength that they can take the more difficult option of achieving their goal without killing those in their way. That's one of the biggest problems with Batman's kill happiness in BvS, Batman's supposed to be able to fight Superman, but he isn't strong enough to stop a handful of nameless goons without resorting to desperate measures of lethal force. At least MoS tried to give Superman a sense of desperation to Zod's death, albeit with little setup and no follow-through. Plus why were they treating him trying to kill Superman as some sort of step too far when he had already taken action well past that moral line.
Let me solve ur confusion , " strong enough to fight superman " is with Kryptonite , he only uses guns in chase sequences when he can easily obliterate the enemies with lethal weaponry all the time and not even need to engage in physical combat , because he still doesn't " want " to k*ll them unless there's no other way, but years of crimefighting and Robin's death to the Joker has been weighing him down to not exactly be measured in his ways either which is why u can see him being pretty brutal and brading criminals , he's dehumanising them , their life is not his top priority , but again , he still won't needlessly k*ll them , the brutal violence still only takes place when in they are in way of some immediate objective he's chasing , Superman was going to be his first intentional k*ll , realising something ? The rule was never that he doesn't k*ll , it was that he won't intentionally do it without very good reason, Superman was going to be the first of that , where Batman would cross that line , but the " Martha " moment although delivery started a bit awkward Superman just saying save Martha with no prior context , is what made him realise why he started it all in the first place , it wasn't to deliver judgement upon someone by finishing them off , it was to not let what happened to his family ever happen again , so he came back from the brink . Any sort of opinion on his awareness about the kind of violence he uses doesn't change the fact that he never crossed the line and Superman was going to be that moment not anyone else before , if someone thinks they could've showed Batman being brutal but not willing to kill better than this that's another topic , can't just claim he did cold blooded murder when he didn't .

Disliking Snyder's movie inherently isn't wrong and absolutely fine , saying his characters are " core breaking " is massive bs showing no understanding about the character's core in the first place , which yes is caused by some specific lines out of specific situations in other stories , in an exaggerated sense " brainwashed " . I'm convinced Zack has never actually read a comic book outside of Watchmen. At best he skimmed some pages from Dark Knight Returns.

At this point, I don't care if Superman kills in this new movie or not, I just hope it's a good movie. That said, there is something that is a huge show of power into not killing, even when it feels like you should with every ounce in your body, and giving that quality to a man of almost god-like power would be a nice way of showing that message.
That is also a show of no real struggle if one gets what they want out of such situation without carrying that heavy weight at all , and it's not interesting at all to see a character have that level of power from the start against his obstacles instead of working upto it eventually , it feels too flowers and sunshine , devoid of any realism at all or too arrogant , if the counter to this is " Superman was just made like this or he's a god etc " then this character will never interest me , Snyder's version and other ones who have to go through similar hardship do , i'd much rather see him struggle in the beginning and eventually earn the level where he's that powerful because he's just that determined alongwith being kind to make it happen .

That's why I prefer Nolans Batman over Snyder's. Bale's Batman was closer to the comics and cartoons than Snyder's Batman. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Zach Snyder doesn't like Kevin Conroy's Batman. He likes Frank Miller's Batman. And that's why we got the version of Batman that we did in Batman Vs. Superman. Bale's and Pattinson's Batman were closer to Conroy's Batman.

Yeah TDKR Batman never killed lol. He was more aggressive, and ruthless against criminals , but he never went outside his morals and even quoted in the novel he still hasn’t killed anyone. That older and world weary Bruce knew he had to be a little hardcore, because of how dangerous Gotham had become even pushing the limits but never went too far. In BVS, Batman just thoughtlessly killed, and had no remorse or reflection on it, even branding criminals. I wish there was a direct reference in that movie, stating that losing Robin, and everyone killed in Metropolis in Man Of Steel pushed him over the edge, and without the killing aspect would’ve been a much better and more accepting version of the character we got. There was no sympathy until the Martha moment.
Nolans Batman peaked with Batman Begins, that was when he acted almost right out of the comics, then in TDK he loses his obsession, and as the movies go on he loses what makes him the most Batman.

This really shows how Zack knows absolutely nothing about comics. Sure some people take canon way too seriously, but Batman in the 30s was a gun tottling vigilante, then in the 60s he was the Adam West Bright Knight, in the 70s he was a hard-boiled detective, in the 90s he was a dark, grim, and gritty anti-hero, and since the 2000s he's basically been an all-purpose superhero with a family.
Batman can be intercepted in any number of ways and audiences are willing to accept almost nothing as long as it's good. The reason people rejected his version of the DC universe isn't because it didn't adhere to canon, but because they weren't good.

I will say that was kinda awkward but it's overhated in fact that was one of if not the only things that could bring back that Batman from the brink of crossing the line . Movies have always tended to be more 'ok' with kill happy protagonists than other mediums but in nearly all of them, a big part of that is the way those protagonists killed because not killing meant they would probably die and fail at whatever crucial important task they were undertaking. Superhero's however are supposed to have enough strength that they can take the more difficult option of achieving their goal without killing those in their way.
That's one of the biggest problems with Batman's kill happiness in BvS, Batman's supposed to be able to fight Superman, but he isn't strong enough to stop a handful of nameless goons without resorting to desperate measures of lethal force. At least MoS tried to give Superman a sense of desperation to Zod's death, albeit with little setup and no follow-through.
Plus why were they treating him trying to kill Superman as some sort of step too far when he had already taken action well past that moral line.
Let me solve ur confusion , " strong enough to fight superman " is with Kryptonite , he only uses guns in chase sequences when he can easily obliterate the enemies with lethal weaponry all the time and not even need to engage in physical combat , because he still doesn't " want " to k*ll them unless there's no other way, but years of crimefighting and Robin's death to the Joker has been weighing him down to not exactly be measured in his ways either which is why u can see him being pretty brutal and brading criminals , he's dehumanising them , their life is not his top priority , but again , he still won't needlessly k*ll them , the brutal violence still only takes place when in they are in way of some immediate objective he's chasing , Superman was going to be his first intentional k*ll , realising something ? The rule was never that he doesn't k*ll , it was that he won't intentionally do it without very good reason, Superman was going to be the first of that , where Batman would cross that line , but the " Martha " moment although delivery started a bit awkward Superman just saying save Martha with no prior context , is what made him realise why he started it all in the first place , it wasn't to deliver judgement upon someone by finishing them off , it was to not let what happened to his family ever happen again , so he came back from the brink . Any sort of opinion on his awareness about the kind of violence he uses doesn't change the fact that he never crossed the line and Superman was going to be that moment not anyone else before , if someone thinks they could've showed Batman being brutal but not willing to kill better than this that's another topic , can't just claim he did cold blooded murder when he didn't .

You obviously don’t know this, but BvS is loosely based on The Dark Knight Returns. It’s s completely different iteration than Nolan’s watered-down take. The problem with the Snyderverse was Warner Bros. - if they had integrity, and leaned-in and let Snyder tell the story he started to tell, i think people would’ve warmed up to the Knightmare storyline.

Although I liked the his Justice League, I was not a fan of Batman v Superman and I like 3/4 of Man of Steel. I am not sure I would have liked his plans for Justice League 2.

Nobody is asking for a 1 to 1 adaptation of the comics because that would be unreasonable. Fans just want respectful and tasteful adaptations, something Snyder has never done. His cultists say its his "vision" but its really just a spiteful and warped bastardization of DC's characters.

I liked the decision to put Superman in a situation where he was forced to kill. I will defend Man of Steel until I die. But the way he killed in Batman V Superman? Especially the way Batman killed? No. He made it clear his vision sucked. There was no legit character or plot reason for it. It was done simply because Snyder has a blood lust.
