good video but the salt should be dissolved in warm before addding it into the aquarium. otherwise the fishes will burn themselves if they touch the salt. personally i don"t use salt unless im dealing with ick or the fish is stressed out. secondly it's better for the fish if the the water temperature is matched before introducing it into the aquarium. I'm not knocking you guys i just feel like this is important imformation that needs to be passed on.
I agree... when I do a bi-weekly (every other Saturday) 25% H2O change on my 150 gallon Cichlid tank, I always mix my Aquarium Salt in with H2O BEFORE adding to my tank. That way I know that my H2O I’m adding has the same perimeters as in my tank. Also, just wanna say guys, your tank looks real nice... and digging the beards!

An easier way to refill the tank would be to reverse pump clean water from a bucket using the vacuum pump surely? Less disruption. Oh yes and don't wear sunglasses when you do it.
A) its easy to clean a clean tank, B) do not shut off all the pumps when changing water, or you may have a mysterious fish die off and blame the city for doing something to the tapwater, c) you don't move the magnet in circular motions d) are you going to tell people to lower the water so you can get your hands in their without getting yoru shirt wet or drop int he magnets without a big splash on your good wood cabinet? I like your beard, You got me beat on that.
You should put dechlorinitor in before adding water,trust me i did the samething years ago and killed half my fish from adding tap water before the dechlorinitor.
Do it like your doing a massive water change so it’s light enough to lift I moved mine about a month ago an the tank has been fine also the course end goes in the tank

Is there a good use for fresh water tank waste water from the tank? Should I use it to water my house plants? Some aquaponics grow systems use fish to help with fertilizing the plants. Obviously a bad idea if you have a salt water tank, but presumably workable for fresh water fish and probably better than tap water is my guess.
What do you guys recommend I have a 30 gallon tank I do water changes every 2 weeks and temp stay between 78-81 degrees Fahrenheit. I only have one fish in this tank it's a female angel fish and she refuses to eat and stays by the heater ,can you PLEASE possibly give me some advice? I do water checks twice a week and they come back prefect. She used to have a male angel with her but he died.

They make a water clarifier i use that and it clears it up within a day or two.

Quick tip, if your going to use an algae magnet, drop a few inches of water so that it doesn’t come splashing out from moving it around.
