      Truth is, women actually LOVE the concept of patriarchy. It puts them first the same way women would put themselves first, but if it's patriarchy they can blame men. This is why if you ask someone who blabs this nonsense how they would go about getting rid of it and replace it with what they never have a response, they never bothered to think about it, they like their advantages.

      “Patriarchy” was around for thousands of years bc that was the best solution for survival. It’s not really patriarchy bc it’s not like the men are tyrants they’re just taking on the leader role.

      Women are to be _ladies_ if they're to expect chivalry, which was once a practice of knights. Not to mention, chivalry was never originally expected to be exercised with common people in mind at all.
      And, the fact of the matter is, ladies don't really exist anymore. Especially not in Western countries where there are literally no standards women are required to meet to _be_ ladies.

    Chivalry isn't female privilege as defined in this video, chivalry is a code of conduct that both men and women adhered to. Men were expected to hold open doors for ladies, but by the same token, a housewife seeing a group of male construction workers working in the sun in July would offer them water and care about their well-being.

    • @LiberPater777
      @LiberPater777 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, chivalry was the code of conduct by knights. Women did not practice chivalry. Women were to be _proper ladies._
      What you described here on the womans behalf was _ladylike_ behavior. Something the _vast_ majority of Western women no longer exhibit, which is why they deserve no chivalry.

  • @agentsmith8568
    @agentsmith8568 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Chivalrous nature of any form was for the NOBLE MEN AND WOMEN OF YOUR TOWN OR COUNTRY. These people took care of you so you wouldn’t allow them to suffer the mundane consequences that life would offer them. After a few romance novels ,in the early 1500s, they started applying this concept of chivalry to fair Maidens. It is said that after those years men became simps.

    You should be chivalrous. You dont wait to see if a woman deserves respect. You show her respect, and if she shows you that she doesn't deserve it then you leave. Be the best you can be, and if someone doesn't deserve you just walk away rather than lowering yourself to their level.

    Chivalry is taught or learned...not an innate characteristic. Being chivalrous means a certain code of conduct or behavior adhered to, with regards to a number of situations and scenarios.
    This can mean being polite and courteous, like saying hello to people, holding doors open for them. Chivalry is also about helping others, like assisting your neighbor with taking in their groceries, or helping others clean up after a disaster, like a fire or flood.
    Chivalry also means that you stand up for people, if you feel they are being bullied or unjustly treated. But most of all, chivalry means that you place value in the people around you, and the neighborhood where you live. It could be as simple as picking up someone else's trash, or as significant as saving your elderly neighbor from their burning home. And yes, it can also mean you push in a lady's chair, or open the door for them.

    yeah the last fella in the brown beanie hat and wearing a hoodie was right! plus Chivalry was code of honour for the medieval battlefield and it only applies to men from noble families fighting against eachother! and during the crusades it became the fashion for a knight to seduce a fellow knights wife while her husband was fighting against the moor/ottermans and when he returned home to find out about his wife being unfaithful the adulterous knight would runaway to the holylands and atone for his sins by slaying a bunch of middle Eastern people then after 18 months he'd return to Europe and the angry husband couldn't do nothing to him because it was against the code of Chivalry!
