One of my favourite songs since all those decades ago when I first heard it. Beautiful words, singing and gorgeous guitar accompaniment.
He use to play the guitar at our parties in high school in Tampa, FL.
Stills a LEGEND. A true Louisiana son, his style made a mark on my soul. The world is a better place because of him.

Stephen Stills first solo album. Shoud've won best album of 1970 and this song should've been song of the year. I listen to this often. I actually did a report in this in high school when I was still a teenager and got an A for it. The class thought is was cool. Love to Stephen Stills.

I think Still's voice is underrated, probably cause he is such a magnificent guitar player and songwriter.

Not really that underrated, he's one of the most successful and famous musicians ever. I wasnt even alive in the 60s, but I love his music! Peace bro 😊

I use to listen to Neil Young when I was younger but about 20 year's ago starten listening to Steven more. I still listen to N Y's first 2 Album's but rarely his other's. I'm 75 now and listen to a S Still's album probably once a week.

Steve had a very adult earthy singing voice for only being 25.A Skilled guitar player great song.
I have always loved this album and song, I did not know that these additional photos existed and I am amazed. What a wonderful montage to go with this song. I just love it.
This song is about Crosby's girlfriend who died in a car wreck just before CSN was formed. She is gone- there is no tomorrow.

Stephen is one of the greatest guitar players of all time - electric or acoustic ( or even bass! ). He is incredibly under-rated. His acoustic stuff is just the best - so distinctive ( just listen to the CD "Just Roll Tape" ). His work with Buffalo Springfield, CSN and CSNY, his solo stuff and his Manassas albums are all full of wonderful playing. Thanks for all the great performances Stephen!
He most definitely is a power house and when people hear him they can hear the talent. Good songwriter out of all I think
His piano - organ - keyboard work is exceptional, too.

I've seen him play several times live. Not many at his level of acoustic playing.
Actually he used to get a lot of credit....Guitar Player magazine etc. often had articles and poles putting him on top....
Very moving song in its sentiments, the beautiful guitar work and vocals. One of his best.

I heard the demo of Stephen Stills' "Come On" snd was blown away! Why was that song never fully produced and put on an album? This guy who has a TH-cam channel called ncghost made a video called Buffalo Springberg/Come On and he filled it out with some great production - electric guitar bass drums and harmony, and it's amazing

In 1992, I played this album over and over and over again. And my college roommates and I sang along to it and other CSN related albums in harmony. As you said, more memories than I can tell you. I'm hoping some young people add to this saying "in 2030, I played this album over and over and over again..."
This is a great Stills song that somehow escaped my attention for too many years. I recently bought it for the iPod to try and offset all the One Direction my kids listen to.

I have listed to the Manassas Amsterdam version with Chris Hillman so many times, it is nice to hear the original again, nice video too !

Few people under 60 years of age know of Stills’ acoustical mastery.
Has anyone else noticed the similarity between this song and Harry Chapin's The Cat's in the Cradle? Not the words but the guitar parts and melody.
It reminds me of Tim Hardin voice in Red ballon.

Being a musician I like all kinds of music. I play jazz piano and write jazzy tunes and sing them, but when I need a bit of "Earth" I put Stephen on. He can get more out of D,C & G, then anyone I've heard. BS's Blue Bird is F^&*ing Brilliant.

I read somewhere Stephen wrote this for David Crosby and his then girlfriend who tragically passed away in a car addicent, and that David should try coping by being a better friend "Do For The Others" Such a beautiful song, so many greats by Mr. Stills, I recently picked this album up on vinyl. Fly ever so high David Crosby🩶
