One thing I’ve noticed with the Gundam dubs they’re always top quality, they employ some of the same actors I noticed one of the side characters in gundam 00 was a background character in Gundam seed, the voice actor who played amuro in the original dubs, also plays setsuna in Gundam 00. but they always fit the right voice to a character,

What I got in Origin: a small serving of giant robot fights, a good amount of war crimes, and a hell of a lot of political intrigue, Casval did nothing wrong, and the Zabis are the cause of all of the universal centuries issues.
Well, he did kill the real Char Aznabel and that kid that found him out. Even if you can justify killing the kid out of self preservation and to keep his identity secret, you really can't justify killing Char. He is undoubtedly a murderer.
when first hearing this song after getting through the majority of the series, it is powerful, a beautiful song to really drive home the sorrow of the people in the UC timeline and seem to really get the essence of what *Gundam* is
@@sexyrobot9935 Might be late but if not i highly recommend IBO (Iron Blooded Orphans). Most people criticize that the story is shit but they don't realize that the purpose of it is to be realistic (especially the no plot armor, which is why I really like this series compared to other animes). It's slightly different from the manga, but both the adaptation and the manga has done well in portraying a realistic development and outcome of what a revolution would be like
Crowley Hamon, such beautiful woman. This Series, Gundam Origin was a masterpiece, i cannot wait they remake the old series in this style, reboot the series to appeal to newer generation.
In the first few episodes, I was able to have sympathy for Zeon wanting independence for Spacenoids. But I lost that sympathy when I saw Operation British in episode 5. It was absolutely monstrous how they gassed the civilians of that colony. The problem with Zeon was it was being led by psychopaths, the Zabi's. Though I think Gihren was probably the most bloodthirsty out of all of them. No wonder Degwin compared him to Hitler in the original series.
@@Darkstar263 here’s what I also found interesting even Dozle was greatly affected by Operation British When he saw his daughter Mineva in her crib it made him realize how horrible operation British truly was when when he imagines how many young children like her were lost so much so that he was crying profusely and he even said quite terrified “What have I done”

Gundam, what I expected: SUPER AWESOME ROBOT BEATING THE SHIT OUT OF EACH OTHER IN SPACE. LESS STORY, JUST ACTION. Gundam, what I got: War... War never changes.
Genuinely. Gundam is a franchise that expresses the loss and emotion of war. The spark of rebellion twisted into a desire for conquest and power, the allied powers twisted into fascistic tendencies to maintain that power, struggling and conscripting children to the frontlines to serve in a war they never started. The betrayal, backstabbing, and politicking of the people while soldiers and civilians are killed. Gundam is good.
Knowing his final fate and hers.....the song hits harder. May The spirit of The Blue Star find its way to the freedom of Space and soar to eternal happiness. SALUTE! O7
The first time I heard this song, I dropped what was doing and sat down transfixed. Then I rewound it and started crying. Third time through I poured myself a drink. Never expected this quality of singing in an English dub. Far and away a favorite. Made all the more heartbreaking knowing what those two would endure.
Similair. Actually kind of stopped everything. Put down the phone and leaned in and listened. After hearing the glass clink I paused and poured a drink myself and restarted it. Edit: Glass clinking of another glass. Not ice. This song does go well on the rocks.
What a great song. I love this rendition, even more than the original VA. I only wish there was a version without the sounds of the cup and alcohol/neon sign
The point that Hamon realizes thst sooner or later, Ramba Ral is not coming home. She knows that either he'll get executed as a traitor, or worse, that he'll be sent to the frontlines to die for his insubordination, and that his moral sense will be his downfall. And yet she cannot do anything to prevent that.
I watched through the entirety of Gundam the Origin yesterday and this song has to be one of the highlights of the series for me just sad I cant find the english version of this song on spotify

God gundam is such a great political war drama, why do people just put it off because it takes a while for the action to start or just because its anime. Imo the action is happening during any gundam series and the political drama is the best part of it.

I'm sure a lot of people would recommend seeing the original Gundam series. Though it's pretty dated if you can get behind it being the origin of the series it's a good watch. Both the original Gundam and Gundam Zeta are still some of my favorite things I've seen. That and you'll get to see Char again.
@@willvermillion1025 It is true to a degree but there is a bit of the Gundam plot that's always recycled into the newer plots. A lot of the other timelines are different takes on the original. But I still 100% recommend watching them.
Since you watched Origin, you'll find the Unicorn art style familiar. 8th MS Team is better if you have a good understanding of the wider Gundam universe.
The video is reversed/backward from the original Japanese! I know because I just watched this scene this past Saturday (8/20/24)! Also, look at the Club Eden sign on the door: it's backwards! But the english version of the song is awesome. I don't blame Ramba for marrying this woman. Any man who would pass her up would be a fool!! James Staley, Jones, Okla.
English actors singing songs in anime is usually hit or miss. This one is a HIT.

We all know the fate of Crowley Hamon and Ramba Ral. My God such good character development in the Origin Series. Love the song too.
As someone who got into gundam through origin. Not sure i would have loved The original as much as I do without Origin.
It really hurt knowing them more when you know thier fate 😔
Pain
It gives you more understanding of zeon side and shows it not so black and white
Origin makes those three episodes of the series have so much more weight… Ramba Ral hesitating when he realizes it’s Artesia, Hamons revenge.
Deep in my mind
neon sign shining bright
smoke faded into the night
the doors left ajar
with a glimmer of hope
just so you come back again
time goes by
goes by
no matter how hard you try
dont say goodbye
goodbye
now that our story has come to an end
feel your life bursting into flames
everyday
everywhere
i believe in eternity
the stream of time never stops
never sets me free
The towns fast asleep
its a sleep dreaming of you
melting the ice throughout the night
won't shed a tear
and i'll keep holding on
until you come back to me
lonely night
so lonely
in such a distant world
there is no choice
i wont be afraid
now is the time to stand strong against fate
feel me close even when in pain
everyday
everywhere
i will love you eternally
the stream of time never stops
never sets
me free
