There are tire repair services for very heavy mining equipment. Some of these tires weigh thousands of pounds each. And they are repaired in a very similar way with the exception of using aluminum. This man did an excellent job repairing a tire that would have been expensive to replace.

I would like to see more safety practices being employed however. Working in the line of passing traffic is not ideal.

It is not aluminum, it is lead. Aluminum melts at 700 degrees Celsius! It would set the wheel on fire, in addition to not being able to reach that temperature with that bonfire. Lead only at 300. in addition to the obvious WEIGHT that it has when the man lifts it. if it were aluminum it would weigh almost nothing.

Excellent work ! The master and his crew deserves all the credit. Prerfect example of “Hard working + Talent “. However, the master should have paid more attention to his and workers’ health. He does this everyday ! Safety brother , safety ! Gloves, Eye protection , mask and better shop organization. This missing part in all Pakistan Repair videos is the “ professional working culture”. This is something can be achieved if the government comes up with better training, affordable power tools, improved “ working condition” standards, and imposing the laws. So, improved efficiency and better human health can be achieved , so the prosperity of the society.

So that’s a vulcanising ‘machine’, ingenious, skilled workmanship with the most basic primitive ‘tools’. That was a brand new tyre and it must have spoilt the owners day when he got that hole punched in it. I had that happen on an outback desert expedition, a 1000km from any workshop/garage, first trip with an expensive 4x4 tyre. I take my hat off to these guys and what they can do with basic tools, but they know what has to be done and how to do it. Thanks for sharing your skills-a very interesting insight into what is achievable.
