"Nova" is basically a story about Peter Parker becoming a Green Lantern (Coy or Winstob or whomever said this first on TH-cam, thank you for saying that).
I have to give so much respect to the outlook you guys have on the show that you talk about all the time. The whole outlook on “if you disagree with me, that is 100% okay, let’s talk about it in a healthy way and be a decent human being”. It is such a huge lesson that so many people need to learn. Every time you talk about how angry and aggressive people get when they have their opinions and how toxic it can be I just truly hope that people are listening. We need kindness, we need decency and I greatly appreciate that you use your platform to preach that kind of stuff.
Xmen 97 is the only show that kept getting better every week. Loved Loki season 2 but this was just better

A cartoon that's even close to those 2 shows? Crazy what if you never watched the og xmen and don't really like cartoons you think I'd like it? I kinda got into Invincible but not hooked I got 4 or 5 more episodes to get through
I loved 97 as well, but I wouldn’t put it above Loki 1-2, any of the Daredevils, or Jessica Jones S1. A lot of people forget how incredible that first season was.
But it’s still for sure in the top tier. Great season of television.

Yeah a ginger like Coy should have a bluer light instead of the yellow-ish light he has now to balance his skin tone - the yellow makes him look orange

Beau Demayo was the primary writer and showrunner of X-men ‘97. He was fired before the season began, but he already wrote season 2, and they following his ideas.

Wanda Vision, Loki and X-Men 97, in no certain order, are the best Marvel shows thats ever come out of Disney/Marvel thus far. I would have Falcon & Winter Soldier, What If and Ms Marvel as honorable mentions for me personally.
Same, and had Moon Knight not disappointed with the way the avatars handled the villain then the cramming the action ending, it would have been up there for me too. Everything else I liked about it.
DD is still my all time favorite Marvel TV property. The three seasons are all so well written and acted and directed. I was a big comic fan of DD but the series made me a bigger comic fan of DD. The cast of characters are so good. Charlie, Vincent, Elden, and Deborah are excellent.
The GHOST RIDER is a walking special effect. Unlike Blade, you have to do tons of CG to just render the character walking around.
It’s gotta be more on the 100 Molly range to even look presentable.
Yeah, a 50M Ghost Rider doesn't seem like it'd make a good visual final result at all, and unlike Fall Guy, the reliance isn't supposed to be on the appeal of the actor, so I'd think they could risk a bigger budget anywhere between 90-120M.
The way to go probably isn't with Goslin though, and maybe GR works better as scruffier, lesser known in an ensemble film with a lot of draws, especially if it's something like Midnight Suns that puts GR, Blade, Elsa Bloodstone, Moonknight, WnN and Manthing (cameoing Clea and Black Knight, maybe) in the same room.
I loved X-Men Evolution as a kid i use to watch it right after Static Shock
The way the ring light reflects in Coy's eyes perfectly sized around his pupils makes him look like he's got a different color version of Gambit's eyes!

Been with you since the schmoedown days and I am a huge fan since you went out on your own with “the big thing”. I tune in all week to the shows. Capes and cowls is my favorite though, love the conversation between you three!
I had never seen the old X-men show but started watching 97 and I absolutely loved it!
Kristian, congratulations on the new studio. I guess with the new time zone I can finally see your videos as soon as they come out. Loved X-Men 97, it was done with passion and care, well written and animated. I’ll say this, it is one of the best animated shows Marvel has done in quite some time. I am a big fan of animation (2D, stop-motion, puppets, 3D, what have you). Keep up the good work.
X-Men 97 is the best Disney+ produced Marvel content. Daredevil and Punisher are both better but they weren’t produced by Disney+

Great episode guy. It's really cool to see the 3 of you in the same room talking comics again. X-Men'97 has been one of the biggest surprises of the MCU in a while for me, in that I was excited but cautiously so and the consistently high quality week after week secured this as one of my all time favorite Marvel shows along with Daredevil like Coy said.
The more I hear about Born Again, the more excited I get for it. They made the right call to retool it.
I waited til the weekend to watch the last 3 episodes of '97 before hearing you guys' take on it so that I could agree that it's in the top five things that Marvel TV/MCU has ever put out, season-wise. It went so much further than I had guessed it would. #1 is and will always be Blade, which is not part of either, so there ya go. Just helping with the friggin algorithm that rules all our lives. re: Ms. Marvel - i need them to do it. it was beautiful, it was great to see people dive into the culture and her journey. i had great fun and i think a second season would be great.
I do think it's the best show and season that Marvel has done. Prior to this (at least on the animated front) I used to say that Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes was their best animated property... but this season stole that crown easily. I think this is the best show of the year, the writing was SO GOOD and I could just feel the love of the creators for the IP from everything from pulling from obscure comics to having the animations be based on their moves in the Marvel vs Capcom games... you could just feel these people understood and LOVED the X-Men and it made for a phenomenal show!
I don't think anyone gives a shit about the Young Avengers even at the height of their comic book popularity about 18 years ago and quite frankly by the time they get to it, Hailey Steinfeld will be over 30. It won't work. And they can't afford to miss anymore. They need to bench the Avengers until they do a full reboot of the MCU because they just don't work without Cap and IronMan. They should focus on the X-Men. Unless they reboot. In which case they can do the X-Men concurrently with a New Avengers team.

X-Men '97 demonstrates that animation can effectively convey superhero stories, even rivaling live-action adaptations. Fans appreciate its emotional depth and faithful continuation of the original series. So, it’s no surprise that some viewers remember it as if the episodes were live action!

As a huge MCU fan i have seen everything but Xmen 97 not because i didnt want too but it was a revival of a show that i felt like i had too watch before hand to watch this series and also i believe still because of animation people are hesitant too come but that has been changing and i hope it continues

I'm bias, xmen 92 was my childhood! They were the reason I got into comics and I loved all these characters. Saturday morning cartoons with my cereal and xmen, spiderman, n any other show that was on. So this is my favorite hands down but I admit! It's scratching that nostalgic itch I have. But honestly I loved it compared to every other show.
They should’ve added She-Hulk to the new Daredevil and called it ‘Daredevil and She-Hulk’! And a laugh track would be great.

I thought Loki couldn’t be topped but X-Men 97 clearly did it. In fact, I think it’s the best piece of Marvel Television since Daredevil.
I really appreciate the potential era we are entering cause for ages we’ve wanted X-Men to retake the spotlight and with this, Deadpool 3 and the MCU reboot on the horizon we could finally get there.

My thought on the best of Marvel series/shows is that you can't grade animation on the same scale as live action. For a mass audience there is a hurdle that some will just not get over when hearing a show is animated. I feel that emotion and engagement when animated is never as poignant as an equally well crafted live action moment. As much as I enjoyed this season of X-Men 97 it just cannot provide the same moments I got in WandaVision, Daredevil, Loki, Jessica Jones or even Ms. Marvel. Seeing live action drama and fighting has a different feel that resonates with an audience more than animation (again when done well, not just in general).That is not to diminish what the team that put together this revival of X-Men achieved, but an acceptance that for a random audience the show will be seen as just for kids.
X-Men 97 was good, but I haven’t forgotten that Agent’s of Shield seasons 4&5 exist.

One thing we have to talk about. X-Men 97 before the season trailer did not spoil huge cameos or story. Cap Shield was a in season tv spot. The MCU and DC can take notes don't spoil the movie or series to create excitement. If this was a Feige project we would know about every cameo we seen in the trailer.
The best way to explain Nova is we’ve already seen Nova Corps in Guardians of the Galaxy. The Glen Close, John C Reily characters were members of Nova Corps. I think Thanos killed most of that Corps off. So this would be starting over.

We must not have season 2 of ms marvel. We need to scale down the tv shows and put resources into the films with more a list heroes.
I'm not a big animation person, but I loved X-Men '97. I think the only other animated show I've kept up with in the last 10+ years has been the Kevin Smith He-Man show.

It is just me or does young apocalypse and post celestial tech apocalypse seem and sound more evil then even the original and that voice stands amongst X-Men villains and unbeaten foes.
XMen is the best show marvel has done. For me, I wasn’t that big of a fan of the X-Men. I’ve seen all those movies, want to read the comics but haven’t started. Didn’t watch the original animated series. To get me this hooked and this involved in x-men after just episode 1 was phenomenal, and then to continue that throughout the season was just incredible.
Loki season 2 was fantastic but for me it had season 1 to build off of. Since I didn’t watch the animated series and only kinda knew some of the x-men characters before this, it did it the best. It’s my favorite show of the year as well so far, beating out Shogun, Fallout, etc

I think we all love the Kamala actress, but it remains to be seen if the character is a box office draw. So I don't know that I'd wanna see her on the X Men. I think Disney+ needs cheap characters that can do their own stuff that don't necessarily connect to the movies, so I think Kamala belongs on Disney+ for now.
In regards to the symbiote being in Spider-Man 4, I think it would be cool for him to get the black suit near the end of that movie, and spend the next 2 Avengers films wearing it, and once we get to a Spider-Man 5, that's when we introduce Venom. I would love for them to spend a few films with Peter in the black suit to really build up that psychological battle within himself that leads to him abandoning it and Venom being born, similar to how in the 90s cartoon and 00s cartoon, we spent several episodes (therefore several weeks) with him in the suit, and not like Spider-Man 3 where Venom is shoehorned at the end of one film....

I haven’t seen it yet but I am biased against animation. I’ll typically prefer a live action show over animated so I’m probably not going to have it as the best thing they’ve done. And I’m not big on X-men. F4 has always been my favorite super team.
Daredevil, Wandavision I feel are better shows but X-men 97 is a worthy show of watching and talking about and this may revive Marvel 90s animation shows that ended too soon

This is a continuation of my favorite series of all time and my dream has always been to get more of this show, this season of X-Men was fantastic and the best of all the Marvel shows

For me it’s the best show Marvel Studios has put out on Disney Plus but I still just prefer Daredevil overall.
This is actually my favourite thing Marvel Studios has put out since Infinity War, I loved NWH but had problems with the first act, I really liked Wakanda Forever but it felt too long, I loved Vol.3 but honestly sometimes the visual aspect took me out of it like the Earth scenes and there was issues I had with what makes them heroes.
This show adapts January 6th, 9/11 and so on in a genius way. I think my favourite episode is still Remember It just for the fact Magneto was comforting Leach who is a young boy, under attack because of who he is and Magneto says “don’t be afraid” in German. That’s a young Magnus Magneto sees. It’s beautiful.
I also love that the creator of the show responded to my tweet and also double downed on the fact that Morph is in love with Logan but knows A) Logan is straight and B) is in love with Jean so Morph knows the only way to tell Logan is to turn into Jean. It’s heartbreaking.
My top five are as follows
1) X-Men 97
2) Daredevil
3) Wandavision
4) Mrs. Marvel
5) Loki
