You gotta take a moment and appreciate what Weiss went through after Volume 3. I mean, yeah, Yang lost her arm, but she had the support of her dad. Blake, okay, she ran away, but Sun was with her and she reconnected with her family. Ruby, okay, she kinda left her dad and sister without so much of a word, but had friends with her and Qrow was there to watch over her. Weiss? Weiss was a prisoner in her own home around a hateful brat of a brother, an invisible drunk for a mother and an abusive, racist and greedy father. She was forced to leave her friends - the first real friends she had probably ever made - because her father practically dragged her back go Atlas. She was back to square one. Thinking about all of that makes that impulsive hug and "I missed you so much" kind of more impactful.
I remember seeing the whole thing thinking 'After all both of them been though, this wasn't necessary...... It was NEEDED!!' One of the warmest moments of the first 5 volumes!! 😎🌹👍
It was so cute when Weiss said "I missed you so much". If someone hugged me like that and said what Weiss said I would said the same thing, "I missed you too".
This was so enjoyable to revisit. Would love to see another compilation of reactions to Yang & Weiss reuniting with Ruby. While this scene makes me tear up, the moment Yang says “I love you” to Ruby makes me cry every time.
That moment when the Knight disappears means so much there. Weiss knows she's safe, that she's with someone she can trust with her life...that she can, after all she's been through up to now, let her guard down.
